Here is My Movie Review of Black Panther Wakanda Forever

Here is my movie review of Black Panther Wakanda Forever

So basically what happens is that you have Shuri who is moaning over the death of her brother. But then you have the government using this machine to find vibranium. But the machine is threatening this guy named Namor and his people. So he decides to go to war with the Wakandans. But Shuri Namor offers to solve the problem with peace but he rejects her and decides to invade Wakanda. It is up to Shuri to become the new Black Panther and take down Namor and save Wakanda and that is basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is tremendous. I still think everyone gives it their all and I think their acting in this movie is better than the acting in the first black panther movie because well I liked the acting in that movie. Something about this movie gives the actors much stronger performances than they did in that movie.

Leticia Wright reprises her role as Shuri in this movie. I have to say she still does a tremendous job as this character. What makes sure he's such a sympathetic and tragic character is that She really misses her brother  T´Chall. Probably the most saddest scene in the movie is where she had to watch her mother die in front of her because Namor killed her. Also even after her mother dies the things where she breaks down crying or probably the most tragic and saddest moments in MCU Phase 4. The chemistry between her and Michael B Jordan, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Dominique Thorne, and Tenoch Huerta is still really amazing.

Angela Bassett reprises her role as Queen Romonda and I have to say this is probably her best performance as the character. What makes Queen Ramona such an excellent character is that she is very overprotective of Shuri. Probably the best moment with Queen Ramonda is when she yells at  Okoye For having Shuri be kidnapped.  It is probably the most powerful scene of the entire movie. The scene where Queen Romanda dies is probably the most saddest scene of all Phase 4. The chemistry between her and Leticia right is still really spectacular.

Dominique Thorne Plays Iron Heart in this movie and I have to say she still does a terrific job as this character. What makes Iron Heart such an interesting character is that she really wants to help Shuri defeat Namor. Probably my favorite moment with her is when she first meets Shuri and Okoye. It is probably one of the best character introduction scenes of Phase 4. The chemistry between her and Latisha Wright is still excellent.

Now  it was announced that Alex Livinalli was going to play Attuma. I was worried that the CGI could be really bad and another thing I was worried about is that I thought he could be really cheesy and over the top and just be a very boring and one-dimensional villain. But I'm happy to say that Attuma is probably one of the best side villains of Phase 4. What makes Attuma such an awesome side villain is that All he wants to do is to help Namor  protect their kingdom. Also I love the design of the character. He is just like how he is in the comics because in the comic books Attuma Looks like a hammerhead shark and I think it translates it really well into the film. The rivalry between him and Shuri Is still really astonishing. The chemistry between Him and Leticia Wright is really terrific.

Winston Duke reprises his role as M´Baku. I have to say well I liked him in the first film and I still do. I still think I like him better in this movie. What M´Baku Such a Intelligent character is that He wants to help Shuri Take down Namor.  Probably the most shocking moment of the film is when him and Namor are fighting and Namor Punches M´Baku in the chest. You think that killed him but no he's surprisingly surviving that. It is probably the most shocking moment of Phase 4. The chemistry between him and Leticia Wright is Still really remarkable.

Michael B Jordan Now he doesn't play a big role in the movie but for what he has he still does a great job as Erik Killmonger. Now Killmonger in this movie is not really a villain. He's more of Shuri´s Inner anger because when she drinks the heart shaped herb and she goes to The place where she thinks she finds her mother she actually finds Kilmonger. The Conversation between him and Shuri is interesting because Killmonger Said that they are one in the same But sure he says she will never be like him. It is probably the most surprising  moment of the entire movie. It was so great to hear Michael B Jordan's voice in the film. The chemistry between him and Leticia Wright is remarkable.

Mabel Cadena Plays Namor´s Sister Namora In the film. I have to say she is probably my second favorite performance in the entire movie. What makes Namora such a sympathetic character and that all she wants to do is to help her brother Namor protect their kingdom. Probably my favorite moment with Namora And where she is fighting Shuri and Okoye In the street is probably the second best action sequence in the film. The rivalry between her and Shuri Is still really extraordinary. The chemistry between her and Leticia Wright is Still really marvelous.

However, the absolute  stand out of the Entire movie is Tenoch Huerta as Namor. What makes Namor Such a tragic and sympathetic villain is that in his eyes he thinks he's doing the right thing because his Kingdom is getting destroyed by the government and he asked the Wakandans for help and they rejected him so you can understand why he decided to wage war on them. His backstory Very similar to when Xu Wenwu  From Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings because both of them had to watch someone they love die. Xu Wenwu had to watch his wife be beaten to death by a group of thugs. Well Namor had to watch his mother be whipped to death and his whole race was enslaved by the surface world. It is probably the darkest backstory of phase 4. Probably my all-time favorite scene with Namor And where he invades Wakanda and causes a big flood and kills Queen Romonda. It is probably the darkest moment of the entire film. The design of Namor Is perfect. It is exactly what he looks like in the comics. The rivalry between him and Shuri is one of the best rivalries of Phase 4. Fun fact actors like Michael Phelps, Brian Tee, Dwayne Johnson, Henry Golding, David Boreanaz, Danien Dae Kim, and Simu Liu were all considered to play Namor the Submariner. The chemistry between him and Leticia Wright is tremendous.

The directing by Ryan Kugler is probably his best directing out of the two black panther movies. What I love about his directing is that he does a great job of tackling the subject of grief and lost and what's really sad is that there are people who died in real life and their family members or their friends grieve over their love ones. But the thing I love the most is that he did an outstanding job of giving a beautiful tribute to Chadwick Boseman who played the original Black Panther in The Infinity Saga He had Past In 2020 so Ryan Kruger paid beautiful respects to the actor in the film. I think it is really remarkable how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoy this movie. This is the movie that I would probably love to rewatch again. I still think the villains are really great. I love Namor as a villain. I still think he is in my top 5 favorite Phase 4 for villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am looking forward to seeing Namor in the MCU going forward. Also Namor Is still my second favorite villain of the 2020s because my favorite villain of the 2020s is Joy Wang / Jobu Tapaki from Everything Everywhere All At Once. I give this movie a 10/10.

  1. Excellent review. This is a very complex movie, and one that I imagine could be challenging to summarize. But you nailed it!

    1. I'm happy that you liked the review Lou. Black Panther Wauconda Forever has a very complex and very interesting storyline. Shuri is very sympathetic and trying to counter because she is still moaning over the death of her brother. I still think the film did a great job with that storyline. Namor the submariner is probably my third favorite villain of phase 4 of the MCU. My favorite scene is where Namor attacks Wauconda. It is probably the best action sequence in the entire film. It would be great to do a whole podcast episode all about this movie.
