Here is my Movie Review of X-Men Dark Phoenix

Here is my movie review of X-Men Dark Phoenix

So basically what happens is that it takes place after X-Men Apocalypse left of And people are starting to trust mutants and they list the help of the X-Men to go into outer space to protect the universe however one space mission starts to go wrong Once Jean Gray get controlled by the dark Phoenix so the X-Men have to do everything in their power to protect Jean Gray And that's basically what the story is for this movie. Well I don't think this is the worst X-Men story in the films. It is probably the most boring because I just can't get into it.

I am going to say this is probably the blandest acting I have ever seen in an X-Men film. Now there are two decent performances but most of the actors just felt really bored. It feels like they don't want to do anymore X-Men films.

James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. I think he is still entertaining to watch and I could tell he was having fun in the role of the character. But I have to say Charles in this movie is kind of really unlikable in this movie because he puts most of the team in danger of almost killing them and I feel like the film was trying to villainize Charles Xavier But when you get into the second and third act he does become more likable as the film goes on. The chemistry between him and Sophie Turner, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, and  Jennifer Lawrence is still decent. Probably the most laughable scene in this movie is where Jean Gray levitates Charles Xavier out of his wheel chair and tells Jean Gray to stop. It like one of the most unintentional funny moments in the film and it's not like they use CGI they Actually had make James McAvoy pretend that he couldn't walk Is it the way the camera is like moving is just really weird. I think the scene is way more laughable than when Charles Xavier dies in X3 X-Men the Last stand because that waste with that film they tried to make it really dark it just needed better directing and better writing.

Michael Fassbender as Magneto is still entertaining. You can tell he is having fun as the character. I still think the strongest aspect of these newer X-Men films is the dynamic between Magneto and Charles Xavier. The chemistry between him and James McAvoy is still entertaining. You can tell the actors are having fun as these characters.

Jennifer Lawrence, much like I said in all my previous X-Men reviews, is still really awful as Mystique. I can tell she didn't want to be in these movies anymore. Mystique dies early one in this movie And I didn't give a shit because it was obviously that she was going to die She's killed by Jean Gray played by selfie turn and I didn't really get that and it felt like it was just there to add some dramatic effect to the film and I just really didn't feel sad when she died. I felt more sad when Logan died in the movie Logan and Laura had to watch him die. The chemistry between  her and James McAvoy is fine But I prefer the chemistry with Rebecca Remange and Patrick Stewart in the older X-Men films.

Selfie Turner as Jean Gray I still think is really awful She just sounds really bored in this movie Also when she lashes out against her team when she becomes the Dark Phoenix it didn't really seem believable I'm good say this I they did the Dark Phoenix thing better in X3 X-Men The Last Stand because they said up in the end of X2 X-Men United. Also when Jean Gray from X3 X-Men The Last Stand lashed out against the team in that movie It felt more intense and more darker than this film.

Jessica Chastain as Vuk I just still  think she is really boring as this character. Also Vuk has to be one of the blandest super villains in superhero film history. Yes I said it even more bland than Tyler Hayward from Wandavision because at least with that character the actor does a good job playing the character. Also the character of Vuk is just really boring her motivation she wants to harness the dark Phoenix power. I don't know what she wanted to do with it. I just couldn't wrap my head around what she wanted to do and it's just kind of bland and really weird. Well I don't think she is the worst accent movie villain that will be apocalypse from X-Men Apocalypse She is definitely the most forgettable and blandest X-Men movie villain Yes even more brand and forgettable then Dr Bolivar Trask from X-Men Days of Future Past because at least with that character he was intimidating and way more entertaining to watch than Vuk was in this movie. I guess the chemistry between her and James McAvoy is decent.

The directing by Simon Kinberg is really bad because I don't know what he wanted to do with this movie. Was he trying to make it like a horror film or was he trying to make this  a psychological thriller? I still  think this is the second worst directed X-Men film Because the worst X-Men directed film is X-Men Apocalypse.

So in conclusion this is probably the second worst X-men film I have ever seen. Yes I said even worse than X3 X-Men the Last Stand because at least  with that movie It has decent acting It has good  action scenes It has character development. But this movie just has boring actions with a very boring villain and  really bland performance by most of the actors. The only two actors I enjoyed were James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. I give this movie a 2/10.
