Here is My Movie Review of Aquaman

 

Here is my movie review of Aquaman 

So basically what happens is that you have Arthur and he wants to know what happened to his mother. Then you have David Kane/Black Manta Who wants revenge on Arthur for not saving his father. Then you have Arthur's half brother named King Orm/Ocean Master Who blames Arthur for their mother's death. Then he meets this woman named Mera and together they must team up to take down Ocean master and Black Manta and become king of Atlantis. That is basically what the story is for this movie. 

The acting in this movie is still great. 

Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman in the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. What makes Arthur Curry/Aquaman Such an amazing character is that He wants to protect Atlantis from getting attacked by his evil brother Ocean Master. Probably the best moment with Arthur Curry/Aquaman is when he First meets hand brother ocean master and talks about how he always wanted to meet him and not only is it really Tragic play make sense because he never had a chance to meet him up until that point. It is probably the most powerful moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, and Yahay Abdul Matenn II is still really great. Fun fact actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kenneth Branagh, Jason Statham, Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Nicholson, and Jesper Christensen Were all considered to play Aquaman.

Willem Dafoe plays Valko In the film. I have to say he does a great job but I have to say Willem Dafoe is completely wasted in this film because he should have played The Joker in the DCEU because he is perfect He looks like the Joker. I feel like with Valko any other actor could have played this character. It just feels like the character in Captain Marvel Yon Rogg because that character is completely boring to the point that any other actor could have played him instead of Jude Law. But that being said he and Jason Momoa do have pretty awesome chemistry.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Yahya Abdul Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta. What makes David Kane / Black Manta such a awesome villain is that his motivation well simple it's really interesting because he wants revenge on Aquaman because he blames him for not saving his father and just letting his father die right in front of him so you can understand why he hates him so much because of that reason. Probably the best moment with David Kane / Black Manta Is where he emerges from the ocean and starts to attack Aquaman and not only is it really intense but it makes sense because he wants his vengeance on him for not saving his father. And it's probably the most intense scene of the film. Fun fact actors like Djimon Hounsou, Michael Keeith Williams, and Michael Jai White were all considered to play Black Manta. 

Patrick Wilson plays King Orm/Ocean Master in the film. I have to say he does an excellent job as the character. What makes King Orm / Ocean Master a terrific villain is that his villain motivation actually makes sense is because he blames the surface world for polluting their oceans and for the death of his mother because Atlantis had to kill her and you can understand why he has such a burning hatred for his brother Aquaman. Probably the best moment with king Orm / Ocean Master is where He tells his dad King Nereus That the surface world is getting stronger and they have to conquer that world to protect their kingdom and not only is it a really powerful moment but it makes sense because he wants revenge on the surface world for polluting their oceans.

The directing by James Wan. What I like about his directing is that he basically got all of Aquaman's ordered story accurate to the comics. I also like how he got Ocean Masters motivations right Because in the comics Ocean Master and Arthur Curry are half brothers and they hate each other.

So in conclusion i still really enjoy the film. I still think the storyline is really interesting. The relationship between Aquaman and his brother Ocean Master is probably the strongest aspect of the entire. Black manta is a really awesome villain I am looking forward to seeing him in Aquaman 2 the lost Kingdom. I'm looking forward to seeing what the film does with him. This is still in my top 5 favorite movies of 2018. I still think this is my favorite DCEU film. I still think if you enjoy Ant-Man the wasp with Paul Rudd then you're sure like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
