Here is My Movie Review of X-Men the Last Stand

Here is my movie review of X-Men the Last Stand.

So basically what the Pilot is you basically have  this cure that can cure mutants and than you have Magento and the Brotherhood of evil mutants and they want to kill all the humans so the mutants could be the dominant race and than Jean Grey tie into the dark Phoenix and that's basically what the story for this movie. Honestly the storyline this movie is so messy because it doesn't know what to follow that they want to follow Magneto and his Brotherhood mutants or does it want the phone Jean Gray turning against her team. But Then you'll have this whole mutant cure and people debating need it or they don't have to have it It does not make any sense I mean On paper I think this is a good storyline. But will you translate this to a movie It is Way more dumber than you think it is.

Now the acting this movie I will say it's not the problem with this entire movie because all the performance that are good but most the actors don't really do anything in this film.

James Marsden plays Scott Summers/Cyclops In the film. I have to say well he did a decent job in this film he doesn't have much to do now the reason why he's not in this movie that much is because James Martin was busy making Superman return so that's why he's not in this movie that much. Now the character of Scott Summers/Cyclops Is completely wasted because he doesn't really do anything in these X-Men movies aside from the first movie he's gone mostly in X2 x-Men United he is later brainwashed by William Striker and in this film he just gets killed off Stingray absorbs his powers and he died and that's got to have a big disappointment because Again Cyclops should be the leader Of the X-Men like in the cartoons and the comics

However the absolute big standout of the entire stand Out of the entire film is Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine Because even Imports where this film is not working at all somehow he managed to give a powerful and entertained performance. Now the character of Logan / Wolverine is really consistent like he was in the first two films he really cared about Jean Gray and there were some really entertaining moments with this character. Now let's talk about the scene where Wolverine kills Jean Gray well it was emotional it was still stupid because Wolverine will never kill her because he really loves her if anyone should have killed Jean Gray in this movie it should obviously been magneto because he knew that Jean gray was a threat To the world.

Famke Janssen plays Jean Grey/dark Phoenix In the film. I have to say much like the rest of the performances, her performance was good I just don't think it was as good as she was in the first two X-Men movies. But Gene Gray/ the dark Phoenix it essentially a zombie she just stands there just staring off into the distance and when she turns on her team it was shocking But they did not do much with it and The whole scene in the kitchen where Magneto and Charles are trying to talk to her it was just so weird and It just wasn't really interesting to watch I mean sure with a better script that scene could have been really powerful and really interesting but It just doesn't work in this film at all.

Ian McKellen plays Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto In the film. Now well I liked him in the first two X-Men movies. I have to say I think even when this movie does not work he still gives a great performance. But Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto as a character is a douchebag because he is just overly snarky and he cracked a lot of jokes and Magneto should never say any jokes he's supposed to be super serious but for some reason they decide to make him funny in this and as much as Ian McKellen is trying to give a good performance this script does not do him any favors whatsoever. Now let's talk about the worst scene in this entire movie and that'll be the theme where Magneto ditches Mystique this was just so stupid everyone know that he mystique are supposed to be together they are a team but in this film he digits her once she becomes human and he said the dumbest line What a penny she was really quite pretty which is the dumbest In this entire movie I'm going to go on and say this movie had a lot of bad jokes in fact I think this had worse jokes than the MCU.

Patrick Stewart plays Charles Xavier  In this film. I have to say his performance was good but again mud with all these actors it wasn't as good as the first X-Men movie or even Logan. Now Charles Xavier as a character doesn't really do much in this entire movie He Gives Expedition and dies that's all he is there to do. Now let's talk about Charles Xavier's death in this movie i'm going to say it what was the point of that he had like a psychic battle with Jean Gray and his face starts to Wobble like a dog's face and Get vaporized and that's how they kill them off that's how they act off one of the best X-Men characters. He had the weird part I kind of laughed at the scene because i know it's not supposed to be funny that Charles Xavier is dead but then the stupid line that Magneto says he screams Charles before he dies it's just so fucking stupid but yet it's so funny because Ian McKellen is just overacting in this scene. That I can't take it seriously at all to be honest i think they should kill them off in the third act that way it would have made a lot more sense. Although the flashbacks sequence in the beginning of the film the CGI to make Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart younger it looks completely terrible it looks so weird I don't think they technically needed to de-age the characters to be honest I think they could just told the backstory without the CGI.

Kelsey Grammer plays Dr. Henry Hank McCoy/Beast In the film. I have to say even in parts where this movie is not working he still does a spectacular job as the character because you can tell he is putting the most effort in his performance. Now The character of Henry Hank McCoy/Beast Is perfect because he's exactly how he is in the comics he is shown to be really intelligent and he also thinks that humans and Mutants should coexist together. Also the CGI for Beast is not that bad it's actually perfect. I think he's up there with Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and one of the best superhero castings in a superhero film. The chemistry between him and Hugh Jackman is perfect

The directing by  Brett Rather is awful because she just tried to put in way too much stuff in this movie he puts in the stuff with the music here then their stuff with Magneto and then the Phoenix stuff which does not make any sense it feels like he'll trying to make an MCU movie and turn the having all these storylines trying to connect together but it just ended up feeling I mean aside from making Beast comic accurate. He also for some reason he makes Magneto funny by making him sail this dumb shit that is not funny in fact Magneto should stay serious and not be a silly character. The overall I think he did a horrible job directing this film.

So in conclusion i did not like this film bigger the storyline is a fucking meth it doesn't know what it wants to do does it want to be a Magneto movie does it want to focus on the cure or does it want to focus on this dark Phoenix stuff that does not make any sense whatsoever. Now i don't think this is the worst X-Men movie i will say this it is the most messiest X-Men movie in terms of just the storyline. I'm going to say this out of the original x-Men movies This one had the worst fucking dialogue I have ever heard in an X-Men movie aside from most of Wolverine the dialogue and Beast most of the dialogue in this movie is really bad also that stupid line that magneto says how he stays that Mystique is cute which is so dumb and weird. Now the actors who give it there all they are giving a good performances but the whole direct thing and the scrimped gave none of them to work once. surprisingly the only funny moment I got out of this movie is the same where Wolverine kick some random guy in the balls because of just so random and funny because of the way Hugh Jackman said the line grow those back. I mean they did get beast right which I will say Kelsey Grammar is the highlight of this movie he is the best thing of this entire mess of a film. I say just Skip and go watch X2 because that movie has way better dialogue in a much better storyline i mean sure aside from that one dumb joke that Magneto says most of his dialogue is mostly serious. I give this movie a 3/10.
