Here is My Movie Review of Chaos Walking

Here is My Movie Review of Chaos Walking

So basically what happens is that it takes place in a far distance future and you have this guy named Todd Hewitt who meets this girl named Viola Eade and they discover that all the women are missing and Todd discovers he had this ability called the noise which is a thing that have people read into other people's thoughts. Then you have this guy named Mayor Prentiss who wants to harness the noise so he can take over heaven so it's up to Todd Hewitt and Viola Eade To take down Mayor Prentiss and that is basically what the story is for the film. I have to this store in this movie is pretty stupid because and doesn't fall the book at all because in the original book series Todd Hewitt finds a map then he meets Viola Eade but in this film they just rush him and Viola Eade´s relationship and it just does not work at all for the film.

Now the acting in this movie is really bad because nobody is giving a really good performance and what's really sad is that this film has a very talented cast.  But it just feels like in this film they're just all going through the motions. I think the acting in this film is up there with Infinite as one of the worst acted films of 2021. I think this film is up there with Napoleon as one of the worst active films of the 2020s.

Now let's talk about Tom Holland. Now he is a really tremendous actor. He has given some really powerful performances like he is really tremendous as Spider-Man in the MCU. He gave one of his best performances in his very first movie he ever starred in, that being the impossible from 2012. But here I'm sorry to say he is terrible in this film as Todd Hewitt because he is just going through the mountains either over the top or just really weird  as this character. But the character of Todd Hewitt is awful because he doesn't really go through a character. He falls in love with  Viola Eade and he has to stop  Mayor Prentiss. Not to mention he is so unlikable in this movie Todd here it just comes off as a complete jackass of a character. That the entire character. The scenes where Todd Hewitt mentions that he is Todd Hewitt gets really annoying and just drags on for the entire film. The chemistry between him, Daisy Ridley and Mads Mikkeisen Is okay.

Daisy Ridley  plays Viola Eade In the film. I have to say she does a awful job as this character because much like Tom Holland it feels like she is just going through the motions and not caring at all about being in the film. But the character of Viola Eade Is just so boring because she is just there to be Todd Hewitt's love Interest and she has to stop Mayor Prentiss and that's the entire character that just shows how uninteresting she is. The scene where she fall in love with Todd Hewitt it just is so boring and that comes off that's just nowhere because you don't believe that these two will actually like each other and the relationship is just so rushed and so underdeveloped to the point that you don't really care about these two characters getting along. It is probably the most filler heavy moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Tom Holland is average.

Now Let's talk about Mads Mikkelsen because he is a tremendous actor but here I'm sorry to say he was really bad in this film he plays the villain  Mayor Prentiss and his performance I will admit It is the least bad performance in the film but that's not saying much because he is still awful as this character. He just gives one of the worst villain performances of his entire career which is really disappointing because Mads Mikkeisen Is a tremendous actor because he has given some really good performances like in Doctor Strange. He was really awesome in the movie The Hunt. He was even the best thing in Mufasa The Lion King because people say he gave the best performance in the film as Kiros. But this film it feels like he does not  really give a shit it just feels like he's just going through the motions and just wants to get this movie over with so he can go do something else. Now will I said the performance is really bad that's nothing compared to the character he's playing the character of Mayor Prentiss Is a horrible and just a generic as fuck villain he's just a corrupt politician Who wants to go into heaven and take it over and kill Todd Hewitt and that's his motivation and it is just so generic and really dull. In fact I think he's up there with Kro from Eternals as one of the worst villains of 2021. The scene where he turns on Todd Hewitt it just does not work because you know exactly where his character is  going to go. The Rivalry between him and Todd Hewitt is terrible because they don't build it up because the rivalry between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin in Spider-Man no way home was better because they build up their relationship really well and that's what makes the relationship really dark and really interesting because they took time to develop the two characters. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland is okay.

But the worst thing about this movie is the directing by Doug Liman because it feels like he does not understand the book that oh he just rushes through event that happened in the book without even developing the characters or getting anything right from the original source material because and it feeling like he crammed a lot  random stuff that was in the book. What's really disappointing is that he is a great director. He directed Roadhouse 2024 and The Edge of Tomorrow With Tom Cruise. But overall I think he did a really bad job directing the film.

So in conclusion I still did not like this film. The storyline was just so convoluted and just really boring and just not that interesting to follow. To be honest if you want to watch a better version of this movie then just go watch Christopher Nolan's Inception because it's basically this film but better because the characters actually go through stuff and the storyline glands will be interesting because they  actually going inside of people's dreams to extract information from them. The performance is really bad especially from Tom Holland it just feels like you're just going through the motions. The character of Todd Hewitt is just unlikable and annoying to the point that you don't really care about him at all in this film. Mads Mikkeisen  give the most generic as fuck villain performance as Mayor Prentiss and again he is a terrific actor but here is just feels like Mads Mikkeisen didn't really give a shit and just wanted to go do something else. That's how boring he was in the film. I think Mayor Prentiss Is up there with Taskmaster from Black Widow as one of the worst villains of the 2020s. I say just skip this film and go watch Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio because It has a much better storyline and the stakes are a lot higher and the performances are much better. I give this movie a 1/10.

Here is My Movie Review of Aladdin 2019

Here is My Movie Review of Aladdin 2019

So basically what happens is that you have this guy Aladdin who lives in the village and he meets this girl named Jasmine who he starts to fall in love with but then You have this guy named Jafar who wants the lamp so he can acquire all the power in the world and the rule Agrabah. So it's up to Aladdin to take down Jafar and Save the kingdom and that's basically what the story is for the film. The storyline of this movie is just a rehash of the original online from 1992. The same story is just not interesting as it was in the original film.

The acting in this movie is just not that interesting. There are a few decent performances but most of them are just cheap imitations of the original performances from the original film.

Mena Massoud plays Aladdin in the film and his performance is just not that interesting. It doesn't feel like he is playing the character of Aladdin, it feels like he's just playing himself. But the character of Aladdin is just so boring compared to his original Am and apart because in the original film Aladdin did go through a character ark Because he had to learn what's going to be a Prince he fell in love with Princess Jasmine and had to take down Jafar. But in this film he doesn't really go through much of an ark because he's just not that interesting of a character. The scene where Aladdin breaks Jafar's staff just wasn't that interesting as it was in the original film because in the original film it had meaning to it. While in this film it just feels like filler. The chemistry between him and Naomi Scott, Will Smith, and Marwen Kansari Is okay.

However the best performance in this entire film is Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine. Now the character of Princess Jasmine is relatively the same as she was in the original film because she fell in love with Aladdin. But there are some differences to the character that she becomes the Sultan at the end of the film which I didn't really mind that change. The thing where she sings the song speechless is probably the most memorable scene of the entire film because it is actually an entertaining moment of the film. The chemistry between her and Mena Massoud  Is okay.

Will Smith plays the Genie in the film. I have to say he did a good job as the character but I don't think he holds a candle to Robin William´s performance from the original film because Robin Williams gave a lot more effort in playing the character well. It feels like Will Smith is playing himself in the film. He's not bad but he doesn't hold a candle to Robin Williams. Now the character of the genie is relatively the same because he does help Aladdin Take down Jafar. But the thing is he's not as funny and the original one because the original one made a lot more funny jokes well this interpretation of the genie is just not that funny. The scene where Aladdin and him discuss him wanting to be free it just didn't work as well as it did in the original film. The chemistry between him and Mena Massoud Is decent.

However the worst performance in this entire film is Marwan Kanzari as Jafar Because his performance is so dull and uninspired that it just feels like he's just playing himself rather than the character. But the character of Jafar is terrible because unlike Jafar from the original film this one is not even scary because he doesn't even do anything that's even remotely creepy or terrifying in the original film Jafar had a big presents in the film and he actually became an evil sorcerer and he became the sultan He also turned himself into a giant snake during the final battle of the film. But this film Jafar doesn't really do anything in fact I will say that he is the worst Disney Live Action movie villain because even if you didn't like the Lion King 2019 You could say Scar was accurate to his original counterpart I mean yes they didn't make him funny like how he was in the original But his motivation of wanting to kill Mufasa and roll the pride land with all there. But in this movie they just get everything wrong about the character. Also the Rivalry between him and Aladdin just wasn't that interesting because then the original film right from the start he knows that Jafar is evil and this one he doesn't even know that Jafar and evil until halfway through the film so that kind ruined their relationship in the film. I think Jafar is up there with Yon Rugg from Captain Marvel as one of the worst villains of 2019. The chemistry between him and Mena Massoud Is okay.

However the worst thing about this movie is Guy Richie's directing. Now, Richie is a really Talented director Because he directed the two Sherlock Holmes movies and The Covenant with Jake Gyllenhaal. But with this film he does not do a great job directing this movie because it feels like he doesn't even know what Aladdin is it felt like he was doing more of a parody of Aladdin rather than an actual Aladdin film and also he gets everything in this movie wrong because He makes Jafar a really boring and uninterested villain and that's not what Jafar is supposed  be one of the most scariest Disney villains of all time. But in this film he essentially turned him into a big loser with no intimidating presence or fear factor. He also just makes Aladdin a really dull and very uninteresting character because in the original movie Aladdin had a much more confident and more interesting character and he actually went through a character Arc. But in this film he doesn't really go through anything. So overall I don't think he did a great job directing the film.

So in conclusion I did not like the film because it just took everything about the original alarm movie and just warned it down because the original one is a lot darker because Jafar is a lot more intimidating and scary. The steaks are a lot higher. Also The Genie does repression of Jack Nicholson, someone who is not In a kids movie. Also the songs are a lot more memorable because the songs in this one with the exception of won their own just rehashes of the originals. To be honest Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine was the highlight of the film but not even she was enough to redeem this film. I think this movie is up there with Cats as one of the worst films of 2019. I think Jafar is up there with Ultron as well the worst villains of the 2010s. I think this movie is also up there with Polar i'd want the worst film of the 2010s. I say just skip this movie and go watch Lion King 2019 is a lot better and Scar is a lot more menacing than Jafar. The songs are a lot better. The characters are actually likable and they are accurate to their animated counterparts. I give this a 2/10.

Here is My Movie Review of The Way Back

Here is My Movie Review of The Way Back

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Jack Cunningham Who is divorced from his ex-wife Beth and he is suffering through alcohol addiction and it Thanksgiving his family tell him that he needs help Getting over his addiction so he decided to coach this basketball team at this High School because they are really bad and they need some serious help to improve. So it's up to Jack Cunningham to get over his alcohol addiction and to coach this basketball team so they can win the state championship and that's basically what the story is for this film. Now the story of this movie is actually very interesting because this is Loosely based on Ben Affleck's personal life because after he made Justice League 2017 he hated it so he got addicted to alcohol and he was drinking a lot. He has gone through multiple divorces with his  off and on again relationship with partner Jennifer Lopez. This also is similar to the movie Nailed By Mouth which was based on Gary Oldman's own childhood.

The acting in this movie is outstanding because all the performances are just so powerful and so entertaining. This is probably up there with Love & Monsters and one of the best acted films of 2020.

However the absolute big standout of the entire movie is Ben Affleck as Jack Cunningham because he gives such a powerful and raw and perfect performance of  His the entire career. Now Jack Cunningham add a character is incredible because this is a guy you can really feel bad for because he is going through a lot of rough stuff in his life because his divorced from His ex-wife Beth he is suffering through alcohol addiction and he has to everything in his power to get over his addiction and coach a basketball team in a high school So they can win the state championship and find a way so the theme to improve. The scene where Jack Cunningham Is looking at the trophies in dad house and he tells father Edward  Davine That he has never coached a basketball team and not only is it it really sad and Powerful moment but it makes sense because he misses his father and he had a lot of stuff going on and doesn't think he can do it. It is probably the most heartbreaking moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Michelle Watkins, Al Madrigal Is terrific.

Michelle Watkins plays Jack Cunningham's ex-wife Beth In the film. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as the character. Now the character of Beth is really outstanding because she is concerned that her husband Jack Cunningham is drinking too much and wants him to get over his alcoholic addiction. The scene where Beth tells her husband Jack Cunningham that He need to get over his alcoholic addiction and spend more time with if Sam went and not only they really magnificent moment but it makes sense because she is disappointed in him that he's not spending enough time with her and his family. It was probably the most powerful and emotional scene of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Ben Affleck is excellent.

Al Madrigal  plays Dan In this film. I have to say he still does a remarkable job as this character. Now Dan as a character Is really excellent because He wants Jack Cunningham to help this basketball team win the state championship. The scene where Dan first meets Jack Cunningham and tells him. The scene where dan tells Jack Cunningham to go easy on the team. Is not only really important but makes a lot of sense because he actually calls him out for swearing and not obeying the rules of coaching. It is probably the most powerful moment of the entire film Because in real life when you are with your team you have to go easy on them and not yell too much. The chemistry between him and Ben Affleck is outstanding.

However the best thing about this entire movie is the directing by By Gavin O'Connor Because what I really enjoyed about directing is that he wonderful job of talking the subject of alcohol addiction because it is a really heavy topic and what's really sad that there are people in real life who suffer through addictions like drugs and alcohol and they need some serious help to get over those addictions And I am happy that he took the subject super seriously because it is some very taboo stuff if some people don't want to talk about it. I also like how he based this movie off of Ben Affleck´s Personal Because he went through several divorces with Jennifer Lopez and he suffered through alcohol addiction and he needed some serious help so that is why in this film he plays a character that is something to the same thing as him. I think it is really perfect of how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this film because the storyline revolved around Jack Cunningham trying to get over his alcohol addiction and trying to get his wife back on track and wanting to help this basketball team get better. In order to win the state championship I think the film executed the storyline perfectly. Also Ben Affleck who played Jack Cunningham probably gives one of his best performances because here is the thing I am not the biggest fan of. But the fact that he gave a really powerful and emotional performance really surprised me. I also like how this film manages to discuss the subject of addiction and how good morning is to get over, especially if the person is addicted to alcohol. It was so incredible of how they meant to take it really seriously. Also this movie is probably up there with Da 5 Bloods as one of the best films of 2020. I think this film is also up there with Tetris and one of the best films of the 2020s. I think this movie is up there with Mank with Gary Oldman as one of my favorite films of 2020. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like Powerful and emotional films like On The Rocks with Bill Murray then I'm sure you're going to really like this one. I give this movie a 20/10.
