Here is My Movie Review of Jarhead

Here is My Movie Review of Jarhead

So basically what happens is that It takes place during the 1980s where you have this guy named Anthony Swofford Who is enlisted in marine training by the Sadistic and strict soldier known as Staff Sgt. Sykes  tells him that he has to train as hard he can to survive the Golf War where he is sipped out with this other soldier named Alan Troy so he alone the Rest of the soldiers can battle in the Gulf War and fight back against Saddam Hussein and it's up to Anthony  Swofford and the rest of  survive against Saddam Hussein and Iranian soldiers and that's basically what the story is for this film. I have to say that this story is very powerful and very incredible and it really reminds me of the storyline in 1917 where the soldiers had to fight the Nazis during World War II. I think the story is the strongest aspect of the film.

Now the acting in this movie is terrific because it really reminds me of the acting in 1917 where all the actors are giving it they're all, they are all taking these roles really seriously and they deliver really powerful and crisp performances.

Jake Gyllenhaal plays Anthony Swofford In the film. I have to say he does a spectacular job as this character.  Now Anthony Swofford as a character is very entertaining because you want to do everything in his power to try To prove to Staff Sgt. Sykers that he can be a very powerful and brave soldier and help him and his soldier to take down so dumb who's saying and the Iraqians and survive the war. Probably the best moment with Anthony Swofford Is where he and the rest of the soldiers are training by crawling through the mud and not only that it is very powerful and intense. But it makes sense because in real life soldiers had to crawl through mud to avoid being killed by the enemy soldiers. It's probably the most important scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Peter Skarsgard, Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper Is tremendous.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Jamie Foxx as Staff Sgt. Sykes This is probably the most powerful performance that Jamie Foxx has ever Gave in his film career. Now to say that Staff Sgt. Sykes He is strict that is putting that lyingly because the heat is a very powerful drill sergeant that will lose his patients if any of the soldiers fool around and that is what make his character so spectacular is that he will do anything power to get in soldier till you take down Saddam and and the Iraqian war and take down all the Iranian soldiers. Probably the best moment with Staff Sgt. Sykes  tells the soldier that There is one rifle in the world but then nothing like the one that they hear they're not only that really tremendously said but it makes sense because he is basically telling the soldier that the rifle you pick is the one that you have to use throughout the entire war.Not only was it very powerful and intense.  But it made sense because in real life soldiers will have to use the one and only rifle they have to survive the war. It's probably the most powerful and one of the strongest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jake Gyllenhaal is perfect.

Peter Skarsgard plays Alan Troy in the film. I have to say he does a remarkable job as the character. Now the character of Allen Troy is wonderful because he, along with the rest of the soldiers, wants to take down Saddam Hussein and the rest of the Iraqi soldiers in the war and survive. Probably the best moment with Alan Troy is where he and the rest of the soldiers Are training to take down the Iraq and soldier then not only is it really important but it makes sense because And real life soldiers had to train with guns on a train course to learn how to shoot and kill the and soldiers it's probably the strongest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jake Gyllenhaal is astounding.

Chris Cooper plays Lt. Col. Krzyzewski In the film. I have to say he does a terrific job as the character.  Now the character of Lt. Col. Krzyzewski Is really incredible because he along with the rest of the soldiers wants to take down Saddam Hussein And the Iranian soldiers and survive in the war. Probably the best moment with  Lt. Col. Krzyzewski  called  out Staff Sgt. Sykes for not letting them speak out against the Soldiers in Iraq. Not only was it really powerful but it makes sense because in real life soldiers were meant to keep secrets away from the soldiers in Iraq so Saddam Hussein Would not kill the US. It's probably the most intense and powerful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jake Gyllenhaal is wonderful.

The best thing about this film is the directing because this film is directed by Sam Mendes who also directed the film 1917 which is one of my favorite war films of all time and he did a tremendous job directing that film but I have to say his directing in this film it might be just as perfect as Christopher Nolan's directing in Dunkirk because he basically got everything right about the war in Iraq the soldiers were attached to take down Saddam Hussein and I also like how he discussed that even people who didn't want to be soldier that were drafted in to become a marine so they can fight for the US and prevent Saddam Hussein and the soldiers in Iraq to kill everybody. I think it is really tremendous of how he did that.

So in conclusion I really enjoy this film because of the way it depicted the Gulf War because the US had to fight against   Saddam Hussein and the soldiers in Iraq. I also think the storyline Is really interesting because It gives Anthony Swofford a really powerful and interesting character because at first he doesn't know how to be a marine soldier but the film comes by and he starts to get the hang of it.. Jamie Foxx gives his best performance in his whole film career as the character Staff Sgt. Sykes. This is still in my top 10 favorite war films. This is easily in my top 10 favorite Jake Gyllenhaal movies. Also this movie is probably up there with Corpse Bride at one of my favorite films of 2005. I think the film is up there with Zodiac as one of the best films of the 2000s. I think more people need to watch this film especially if you enjoy the film 1917 with Richard Madden. I give this movie a 10/10.
