Here is My Movie Review of Education

Here is My Movie Review of Education

So basically what happens is that you have this kid named Kingsley Smith Who is in school and he's been rambunctious and he gets sent to the principal's office one day because of that and instead of expelling him for one day they decide to transfer him  to a different school which is essentially a school for special needs kids even though they're nothing wrong in Kingsley Smith and  this causes his mother and a bunch of other mothers too protest against Racial oppression in the school system and it's up to Kingsley Smith past school and become an astronomer and that's basically what the story is for the film. I think the storyline in the film is really entertaining because of Kingsley Smith’s struggle of going to a new school and kids and teenagers can relate to it because we all had that time of being nervous of going to a new school.

The acting in this movie is excellent and it's probably up there with Red White and Blue and one of the best acted Steve McQueen films in this series.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Kenyah Sandy as Kingsley Smith. Now Kingsley Smith as a character is really interesting because you really feel bad for him because he has to go to a new school full of people that have disabilities. He's not really happy about it because he gets treated like he doesn't belong there. Probably the best moment with Kingsley Smith is where He is praying to God that you want to become an astronaut. Not only  is it really emotional and very powerful but it makes sense because that is Kingsley Smith's dream to become an astronaut. It's probably the most beautiful scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Sharlene Whyte, Tamara Lawrence, Naomi Ackie Is terrific.

Sharlene Whyte plays Kingsley Smith’s mother Agnes Smith In the film. I have to say she does a spectacular job as the character. Now the character of Agnes Smith is really incredible because she is you can tell that she's really mad at the school system for transferring her son Kingsley Smith to a different school just because the school thinks that he has some mental issues and she wants to protest the school to transfer him back to his original school. Probably the best scene with Agnes Smith is where she Talks to the principal and asks why they are transferring her son to a different school and not only that a very intense scene but it makes sense because she's outraged that they think her son has a disability when in reality he does not. It's probably the most powerful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Kenyah Sandy Is perfect.

Tamara Lawrence plays Kingsley Smith’s sister Stephanie Smith in the film. I have to say she does a wonderful job as the character. Now The character of  Stephanie Smith Is really Incredible because you can tell that she really cares for her younger brother and Kingsley Smith and how she is not happy with  the school has done to him by transferring to a different school. Probably the best moment with Stephanie Smith Is where she mentions to her mother That she is worried about Kingsley Smith School and how he Has not been happy being at the school and not only that really beautiful but it makes sense because she really cares for her younger brother Kingly Smith it does probably the most powerful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Kenyah Sandy Is excellent.

Naomi Ackie plays Hazel in the film. I have to say she does a terrific job as the character. No hazel at a character is really interesting because you can tell right from the start she really cared about Kingsley Smith and wants to make him feel welcome at his new school And the bonding between her and Kingsley Smith is the strongest aspect of the film probably the best moment with Hazel is where she first meets Kingsley Smith and not only that a really sweet moment but it makes sense because she really care about him. It is probably more than more emotionally beautiful scenes of the entire film. The  chemistry between her and Kenyah Sandy Is wonderful.

Now much like the previous films in the series the best thing about this film in the directing by Steve McQueen because what I like about hit directing this film is that he tackles racism really tremendously but in a different way because with the previous films it was all about police brutality and discrimination this film he tackled it and more the way the school discriminates minorities because some schools don't like people of color in their school because they think they have some mental problems and it's really messed up and really sad but I do like how he takes it extremely seriously and that's the one consistent thing I liked throughout this entire day that he took every subject matter of this film series really sadly because the race of them and discrimination are a very serious and touchy subject and I'm happy the way that he did it.

So in conclusion it was this brilliant finale to Steve McQueen's Small Acx series that tackles a lot of familiar subjects from the series in a different way. Also Kenyah Sandy gave a brilliant and powerful performance as Kingsley Smith. I had to say this movie is up there with Lovers Rock and one of my favorite films of 2020 The storyline is really powerful and very entertained to watch. I think this movie is up there with Mank with Gary Oldman as one the best movie of the 2020s. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you like the film Red, White and Blue with John Boyega. I give the film a 10/10.
