Here is My Movie Review of Extraction

Here is My Movie Review of Extraction

So basically what happens in that you have this mercenary named Tyler Rake and he is tasked to rescue this kid named Ovi Mahajan who has been kidnapped by this drug trafficker named Amir Asif and it is up to Tyler Rake to take down Amir Asif and escort Ovi Mahajan to the extraction point and that's basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is still really excellent. I could tell that all the actors are having fun as their characters.

Chris Hemsworth plays the character of Tyler Rake and he still does a fantastic job. What makes Tyler Rake Such a wonderful character is that all he wants to do is protect Ovi Mahajan from mercenaries and escort him to the extraction point. Probably my favorite moment in the film is where Tyler Rake first meets Ovi Mahajan. It is probably the most interesting thing in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Goldshifteh Farahani, and Priyanshu Painyuli Is still really amazing.

Goldshifteh Farahani plays the character of Nik Khan and she still does a terrific job. What makes Nik Khan such an interesting character and that all she wants to do is to help Tyler Racke protect Ovi Mahajan from Amir Asif. Probably my favorite moment in the film is where Nik Khan protects Ovi Mahajan from the soldiers at the end of the film. It is probably the most intense scene in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still really awesome.

Priyanshu Painyuli plays the  villain Amir Asif and he still does a  good job as the character. I still think out of all the performances in this movie he is probably the weakest one. He is not bad in the role. But I don't think his performance holds a candle to Pedro Pascal's performance as Maxwell Lord from Wonder Woman 1984. Now the character of Amir Asif  Is rather bland because he is just a drug trafficker. Now I would say that there are some points where he's pretty menacing when he needs to be. But for the most part he is a rather flat and bland villain. I would say that he's not as bad as the character of Maya from the Adam Project. I would  say he is that bad compared to her. But he didn't hold a candle to Maxwell Lord from Wonder Woman 1984 because that character had more of a personality and he had a motivation. Well Amir Asif Is just a blend and one dimensional villain. He is probably one of my least favorite villains of the 2020s. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still great.

However the absolute stand out in this entire film is Rudhraksh Jaiswal as Ovi Mahajan. What makes Ovi Mahajan such a tremendous character is that all he wants to do is  to be protected by Tyler Racke from Amir Asif. The bonding between him and Tyler Racke is still really spectacular. Probably my favorite moment is at the end where Ovi Mahajan had to watch Tyler Racke die and you can see how hard it affects him he breaks down crying and I love how he doesn't say any words he just you just hear really depressing music and  Rudhraksh Jaiswal Just does a great job of moaning with his body language and facial expressions. It is probably the most emotional scene of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is still really astounding.

The directing by Sam Hargrave is really excellent. What I like about his directing is  that You think the story in this movie will be really bland and generic because it  about a character being kidnapped by drug traffickers. but somehow Sam Hargrave Text that story and makes it completely different and really interesting. I still think it is really interesting how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this movie. I still think it is one of the best movies of 2020. I'm really looking forward to Extraction 2 when it comes out this year. I still think this is a really underrated Netflix original movie. I still think more people should watch it, especially if you like really dark Netflix original movies like Mute with Paul Rudd. I still think this is Chris Hemsworth's most underrated movie. I give this movie a 10/10.
