Here is my movie review of Free Guy

So basically what happens is that you have Guy who lives in this place called Free City and one day he meets this girl named Millie and he starts to have feelings towards her. Then you have this guy named Antoine who wants to destroy Free City in order to make the game Free City2 and make millions of dollars. It is up to you Guy to take down Antoine and save Free City and that is basically what the story is for this movie. 

Now the acting in this movie is really perfect because all the actors give awesome and entertainment performances I think this movie is up there with Eternals as well the best actied films of 2021 because you could tell that all the actors are having fun as their characters.

Ryan Reynolds plays Guy In the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job as the character. Now the character of Guy is really incredible Because he go through a very interesting character because at first he believes that Free City is normal and very calm but it's really not because there's a lot of violence that is happening There are people stealing money from the bank and at the film going on guy starts to realize that not everything was as perfect as it seems. Probably the best moment with guy is where he realized that had not real his only a character in a game and not only that really Shocking but it makes sense because he thought he was in the real world but in reality he was in a video game. It's probably the most suspenseful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi is still really great. 

Jodie Comer plays Millie In the film. I have to say she still does a terrific job as the character. Now the character of Millie Is really excellent because why I like about her other character that she really wants to prevent Antwan Stealing her and keys idea for free city to make a lot of money And she also wants to help guy save Free City and complete his mission probably the best moment with Millie is where she first meets guy and they have ice cream together and not only was it really sweet but it makes sense because she really liked him and liked spending time with him. It's probably one of the most heartwarming moments of the entire film that chemistry between her and Ryan Reynolds is remarkable.

Joe Keery plays Keys In the film. I have to say he's still does a Incredible job as the character now the character of Keys is really spectacular because much like Millie you can see how much he hates Antwan for stealing their game idea to make money. Probably the best moment with keys is where he calls out Antwan for Exploiting him To make free city better and Keys was not happy with that and not only was it really intense but it makes sense because he said that free city was fine that the way it is it didn't need new upgrades and new stuff to make it better it was fine just the way it is it is probably the most important moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Ryan Reynolds is perfect.

Lil Rel Howery Plays Guy's best friend Buddy In the film. I have to say he still does a tremendous job as the character. Now the character of Buddy because he really likes to spend time with Guy he is shown to be very encouraging and wants to help Guy complete his mission and save Free City. Probably the best moment with Buddy is where he see Guy kill one of the bank robbers and he said In pieces that man is dead and not only is it really funny but it makes sense because guy killed him right in front of him. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. Thr chemistry between him and Ryan Reynolds is terrific.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Taika Waititi as Antwan. Now the character of Antwan as a villain is really interesting because he is very self-centered he loves attention he loves money and he wants everything to go his way and his motivation is really interesting because he wants to make another free City game Free City 2 and make it much better and much more expensive some more people can buy it and not only is Antwan really smart he is hilarious his jokes are really funny because I can tell Taika Waititi had a lot of fun as the character Antwan because he is hamming it up the entire time not taking any of it seriously. Probably the best moment with Antwan Is where he says to one of the employees that they both have an idea then Antwan said one two three get back to work and not only was it really funny but it makes sense because he didn't want his employee to just stand there and not do his job and he wanted him to get back to work. It is probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The rivalry between him and Guy is astounding. I still think Antwan is up there with Polka Dot Man from the Suicide Squad as one of the funniest villains of 2021

The directing by Shawn Levy Is really interesting because I like about His directing is that he does a terrific job of discussing the subject of advance intelligence because in real life technology is advancing because we have self-driving cars now we also have streaming services and we also have advanced drone technology. I think it is really excellent of how I did that I also like how he gave a guy a really awesome character arc because at first he doesn't believe that Free City is all that bad anything is peaceful and perfect but add the film going to start to learn how dangerous Free City is because of the crimes that happening people are killing each other and once you figure that out not everything is perfect as he thought it was he starts to question if Free City is worth living in. I think it is really tremendous how he did that.

So in conclusion i still really enjoy this film because of the powerful and emotional character arc that guy has in the film how he starts off but waving that free city is perfect but they start to realize that it's not as perfect as everybody thinks it is. I also think the romance between guy and Millie is probably the strongest aspect of the entire film because it showed that they really like each other and they spend time together in the film and the theme where she mentioned that guy is not real is probably one of the shocking moments of the entire film. I also think that the special effects still hold up it really reminds me of the effects and that's how great the effects are. Antwan works as a villain because he is really funny and really intelligent how he wants everything to go with way and he is really over the top but it works really well because because you're not supposed to take him seriously and I still think the film that they terrific job of not making take him seriously with the villain because unlike Ikaris from Eternals who you have to take seriously as a villain. But with Antoine you don't need to because the movie is more of a comedy. I think he is up there with Dracula from Renfield as one of the funniest villains of the 2020s. I have to say if you really enjoy Cyrano with Ben Mendelsohn. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
