Here is My Movie Review of Lisa Frankenstein

So basically what happens is that you have this teenager named Lisa Swallow  who is very lonely because she is coping with the loss of her mother and she goes to her high school Halloween party But she is not really having the best time because she's not really into it  because she's been drinking a lot and she becomes really nauseous. So she decides   Bring the body who calls itself The Creature back to life and at first she is really scared of it. But then she start to form a Romantic tensions towards The Creature and she decides that  she wants to get revenge some of the students at our high school for mistreating her especially her crush Michael who cheated on her with  her sister Taffy Swallows and the two go On a revenge killing Spray both of them start To have legit romantic feelings towards each other. It is up to Lisa Swallows to get revenge on her high School friends and to fall in love with The Creature and that's basically what the story is for this film. Now the storyline Is really interesting because it is kind of a mix between Edward Scissorhands and a bit of The Shape of Water because both of the main characters fall in love with a creature. 

The acting in this film is Incredible because you can tell that none of these doctors are taking this movie seriously they know exactly what kind of movie they're in you could have told they're just having a lot of fun playing these characters. i think the acting in this movie is up there with the acting in Deadpool and Wolverine at one of the best acted films of 2024. I think the acting in this film is up there with the acting in Renfield I was the best acted films on the 2020s.

However the absolute big standout in the entire film is Kathryn Newton as Lisa Swallows. Now Lisa Swallows and the character is really Tragic and interesting character because you feel really bad for because she is still coping with the loss of her mother she hates her stepmother because she wants to send her to a boarding in school and she doesn't feel like she high school friends so you can understand why she starts to fall in love with The Creature and starts to bond with him. The scenes with Lisa Swallows are really incredible weather it is her bringing The creature back to life or her Reacted to the creature cutting her stepmother's ears off and killing her or one of my favorite moments is where whatever the creature cries Lisa keeps mentioning that he smells really bad and it does lead to some really funny and some really suspenseful moments throughout the film. Although you can tell that Kathryn Newton is having a lot of fun as this character The chemistry between her and Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano Is perfect. 

Cole Sprouse Plays The Creature in the film. Even though he has no dialogue in this film, Cole Sprouse still gives a really powerful and entertaining performance as the character. Now the creature as a character is really interesting because He is shown that he really cares for Lisa Swallows because he wants to be with her and hope her get revenge on all the people who have mistreated her. The scenes with the creature are really funny and really fun to watch but there's also some really brutal moments with it whether it is him exploring Lisa's bedroom or him Or brutally killing Taffy Swallows´s Boyfriend Michael with an ax it does lead to some really funny and some really suspenseful moments throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Kathryn Newton Is still remarkable. 

Liza Soberano plays Lisa swallows´s Stepsister Taffy Swallows In the film. I have to say she still does a spectacular job as the character. Now Taffy Swallows as a character is really interesting because she has shown to be really caring about her step sister Lisa Swallows and wants them to be happy. the scenes with Taffy Swallows are really fun and remarkable weather it is her reactant to The Creature having an ax trying to kill her boyfriend Michael or her bonding with Lisa swallows it does lead to some really funny and some really heartwarming moments throughout the film. The chemistry between her and Kathryn Newton Is marvelous. 

The best thing about this movie is the directing by Zelda Williams. Now for this being her directorial debut. I still think she does a glorious job with this film because what I love about her directing and that she does not take this film seriously at all because she know that the exactly what kind of movie she is making which is a gender swapped spin on Frankenstein and rather it be a guy making the monster is a Gothic Teenage girl who's being mistreated and she starts to develop feelings for the monster that she's made and one's revenge on the people who have mistreated her. i also like how she developed the character of Lisa Swallows and the character you really feel bad for because she was sexually harassed at this party and people always mistreated her so you can understand why she'll want to make this creature to help her get revenge on the people who tormented her But also trying to find love and find happiness and I think that was really incredible of how she did that and I think she did a glorious job of directing the film.

So in conclusion i still really loved this movie the storyline is really funny how it revolved around this goth girl named Lisa swallows who digs up a dead body and resurrect that by eating a tanning bed and she starts to have feelings towards the creature and she uses him to get revenge on the people who mistreated her by killing them and yes the storyline is completely over the top and ridiculous but that's what makes it so much fun because the film does a glorious job of not taking the storyline seriously at all because they know exactly what kind of storyline they're doing for this film. The performances in this film are incredible either we the actor that stand out of the entire film is Kathryn Newton who plays Lisa Swallows and you can tell that she is having a lot of fun as this character and I think her performance is up Ryan Reynolds is performance in Deadpool and Wolverine as one of my favorite performances of 2024. Also Cole Sprouse absolutely tremendous job as The creature and you can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Although the humor is really funny especially the characters reacting to Lisa falling love with the creature at least to a lot of really funny and some really entertaining moments throughout the film. This is definitely in my top five favorite films of 2024 right up there with Deadpool and Wolverine and one of the funniest films of 2024. I recommend you watch this film especially if you really enjoy over the top horror movies like Renfield with Nicolas Cage then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. Or more of the Twilight give this movie a 10/10.
