Here is My Character Analysis of Hank Pym

Now Hank Pym’s First MCU appearance was in 2015's Ant-Man. Now in this film Hank Pym needs help to break into his old company formerly known as Pym Technologies now re-brandon as technologies. So he recruits Scott Lang And tell them that he has to become the new ant man in order to save the world and steal the Yellow Jacket suit from Darren Cross and promises that he will be reunited with his daughter Cassie Lang and at first Scott Lang doesn't want to but he eventually does. Also on top of that he and his daughter are having a tough time because Hank Pym thinks his wife Janet Van Dyne is dead. I have to say for this being Hank Pym’s MCU debut It did a surprisingly terrific job of developing Hank Pam at the character because he can tell that he's going through a lot He and his daughter Hope Van Dyne are going through some stuff because his wife/Hope’s mother Janet Van Dyne is no longer with him and he needs Scott Lang to become Ant-Man and take down Darren Cross and get his company back. Also for this being Michael Douglas’s first MCU debut He still does a spectacular job as the character. 

Now Hank Pym ‘s second MCU appearance was in 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp. Now in this movie Hank Pam once again recruits Scott Lang to help him and his daughter hope Van Dyne Get his wife out of the quaterum but Scott Lang is on house arrest so he agrees to do it as long as If he goes home and meanwhile Ava Star/Ghost wants to absorb Janet Van Dyne's Quantum energy so she can Care herself. Also Hank Pam meets his old mentor Bill Foster and they get to work on a project called Goliath but Hank Pam fired him because he took all the credit and can't stand working with him anymore so that's why they haven't spoken to each other in a long time. Then Hank Pym decides to go into the quantum realm To retrieve his wife Janet Van Dyne and Be reunited with her So he and Janet Van Dyne and help Van Dyne can be a family again. I have to say for this being Hank Pym's second MCU appearance it still does a tremendous job of developing Hank Pym as a character because he really wants to be reunited with his wife so he needs Scott Lang's help to help him get her out of the quantum realm and you also get to learn about his past with Bill Foster how they used to be partners on a project called Goliath and they had a falling out and never talked to each other ever since. Also much like what I said about the first film he is tremendously played by Michael Douglas. 

Now Hank Pym's third MCU appearance was in 2019's Avengers Endgame. Now in this film Hey Pam had a very small part in it he doesn't team up with the Avengers Now you do get to see a younger version of him and he is working on his project called Penn particles which are capable of shrinking and growing things including the person who becomes Ant-Man. I have to say for this being Hank Pym's Third MCU appearance it still does an excellent job of developing him as a character because in this film he is a lot younger he is Working on his latest project known as Pam particles. Also much like I said before Hank Pym is played Spectacularly by Michael Douglas. 

Now Hank Pym's next MCU appearance was in 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Mania. Now in this film Hank Pym Is finally reunited with his wife Janet Van Dyne and they are now a happy family. But Cassie makes this machine send signals down to the Quantum Room and Janet Van Dyne Tells her to turn off but unfortunately the machine malfunctions and she, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Cassie Lang, and Janet Van Dyne  get sucked into the Quantum realm. So they meet this guy named Kang The Conqueror who tells them to help him fix his time machine to get them home but it turns out it was all a trap so he can get out of the quantum Realm and kill millions of people. So they all have to team up to take down Kang The conqueror and get out of the Quantum Realm. Now Hank Pam asks his wife Janet Van Dyne what is going on but she doesn't want to discuss it with him because she has severe trauma of PTSD with Kang. Also on top of that he finds out that his old mentor Darren Cross is not dead but instead Kang rebuilds him as The mechanized organism designed only for killing or M.O.D.O.K and Hank Pym is shocked to see that he survived the entire time in the quantum realm. Now this being Hank Pym's fourth MCU appearance. I have to say it is probably his best appearance in the MCU because she is questioning what is going on with his wife Janet Van Dyne And she doesn't want to talk about it because she has PTSD from being stuck in The Quantum Realm for 30 years. He also finds out that his old mentor Darren Cross is still alive and is now named M.O.D.O.K. All so much like I said multiple times Hank Pym is Is played awesomely by Michael Douglas. 

So in conclusion I had a lot of fun doing this. It was really interesting to discuss the character of Hank Pym Including his relationship with his wife Janet Van Dyne and his daughter Hope Van Dyne How he went from a tragic character who lost his wife to a character who is finally reunited with the love of his life and  helped Scott Lang put criminal past behind it so he can spend more time with his daughter Cassie Lang. It was fun discussing the character evolution of Hank Pym from 2015 all the way to 2023.
