Here is My Movie Review of Inside

Here is My Movie Review of Inside

So basically what happens is that you have this guy named Nemo an art thief and he is  going to steal art at this penthouse but unfortunately he gets locked inside And he has to find a way out and try to keep his sanity and that is basically what the story is for this movie.

Now the acting is really fantastic but much like I said in my review of All is Lost there is really only one actor for the majority of the film.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Willem Dafoe as Nemo. What makes Nemo such an incredible character Is that you really feel bad for him because all he wants to do is to get out of this penthouse. Probably the best moment with Nemo is where he is in this green hallway and the painting that he sees Is looking at him. Not only was it really disturbing but it makes sense because Nemo was slowly losing his sanity. It is probably the darkest scene of the entire film. This is probably up there with his performance as The Green Goblin in Spider-Man No Way Home as one of my favorite Willem Dafoe performances.

The directing by Vasilis Katsoupis Is really interesting. What I like about his  directing is that. He takes a very simple concept of being stuck somewhere and someone makes it really fantastic and really entertaining to watch. I also like how he makes You feel bad for the character of Nemo because you really want him to get out of the penthouse. I still think it is really terrific of how he did that.

So in conclusion I really enjoy this movie. I still think it's one of the best movies of 2023. I also like how the story is really simple but really entertaining to watch. This is Probably up there with Spider-Man No Way Home at one of my favorite Willem Dafoe movies. I also like how this movie feels like an A24  film even though it has some similarities to an A24 film like having a very simple story to follow. I also still think this is the most underrated movie of the 2020s so far. I still think more people should watch this movie especially if you like movies with only one actor like All Is Lost with Robert Redford. I give this movie a 10/10.
