Here is My Movie Review of After Yang

So basically what happens is that you have this family who has this robot son named Yang  and they are spending time together but then one day Yang unfortunately shuts down. So Jake decides to try to get young repaired but then when it is revealed that he's not coming back the family must find a way to move on from that unfortunate event and that's basically what the story is for this movie. 

The acting in this movie is still fantastic. I still think everyone does a great job playing their characters. Also I can still tell that they are having fun in their roles. 

Colin Farrell plays Jake in the film. I have to say he still does an amazing job as the character. What makes Jake such an interesting character is that all he wants to do is to try to repair  Yang so the family can be back to the way it was. Probably the best Moment with Jake is where in the one of flashbacks is were he and Yang are talking about why they both love tea. Is it probably the most emotional moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Jodie Turner Smith, Justin H Min, and Malea Emma Tjandrwidjaja Is still really terrific. 

Jodie Turner Smith plays Jake's wife Kyra In the film. What makes Kyra Such an emotional and sympathetic character in that much like her husband Jake she also misses their son Yang. Probably the best moment with Kyra is when she tells her daughter Mika to go to school because that's what her brother Yang  would have wanted her to do and it probably was the saddest moment in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Colin Farrell is still spectacular. 

Justin H Min Plays Yang in the film. I have to say he does a remarkable job as the character. What makes Yang such a great character is that he really cares about his family. Probably my favorite Moment with young is in the flashback where she is walking in the forest with his sister Mika and he is telling her about how tree branches stick to other trees to make more trees. It is probably the sweetest moment in the entire film. The chemistry between him and Colin Farrell is still awesome. 

 Now for is being Malea Emma Tjandrwidjaja´s Very first movie. I have to say she still does a fantastic job as Mika. What makes Mika Such an Emotional character is that you really feel bad for it because she really misses her brother Yang which she really loved spending time with and ever since he malfunctioned She has been struggling to move on . Probably the most emotional scene is where She and her dad reminisce on all the times that they spent with Yang and it is the most powerful and emotional moment in the entire film. The chemistry between her and Colin Farrell is still really excellent. 

The direction by Kogonada Is astounding because what I like about his directing is that he does a tremendous job of discussing the subject of death and trying to move on because in real life it could be really hard for a family to move on if their son or daughter or their loved ones have passed away. I still think it is really astonishing  how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really love this movie. I still think this is in my top 10 best movies of 2022. I still think this is one of the most beautiful and probably the saddest A24 films I have ever seen but is still really interesting to watch because of all those things. I still think this is one of my favorite Colin Farrell films. I still think this is in my top 5 favorite A24 films.  I still think you are a fan of The Farewell with Awkwafina. I'm sure you're going to enjoy this movie. I give this movie a 10/10.
