Here is My Movie Review of the Guilty

Here is My Movie Review of the Guilty

So basically you have this guy named Joe Baylor and hear this police officer who lives in LA and he walks at a call site And he get the call from this woman named Emily Lighton Who has been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend Henry Fisher and it is up to Joe Baylor to help her escape and that is basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is terrific. I still think everyone gives that there all. I still think everyone is having fun as their characters.

Now the absolute standout in this entire movie is Jake Gyllenhaal as  the character of Joe Baylor. What makes Joe Baylor Such an awesome character is that all he wants to do is to help Emily Lighton Escape her ex boyfriend Henry Fisher. Probably the darkest moment in the film is when Joe Baylor Is talking to Emily Lighton over the phone and she mentioned that her son was bleeding out because there were snakes inside his body. The chemistry between him and Riley Keough, and Christiana Monroya is still awesome.

Riley Keough Plays Abby´s Mother Emily Lighton And I have to think she still does an outstanding job as the character of Emily Lighton. What makes Emily Lighton Such a tragic and sympathetic character that all she wants to do is to be reunited with her daughter Abby. Probably the saddest moment of the film is when she tells Joe Baylor on the phone how she  likes to go to the aquarium with her daughter and how she liked the sea turtles. Not only was it really emotional but it made sense because she really loves her daughter Abby and all she wants to do is to be reunited with her. The chemistry between her and Jake Gyllenhaal is still spectacular.

Christina Montoya plays Emily Lighton´s Daughter Abby and I have to say she still does a fantastic job and the character of Abby. What makes Abby such a really sympathetic character that you really feel bad for because all she wants to do is to be reunited with her mother. Probably the saddest thing is where Abby is talking to Joe Baylor over the phone and Asking him if her mother Is okay. Not only was it really emotional but it made sense because she misses her mother. That chemistry between her and Jake Gyllenhaal still is excellent.

The directing is very interesting because this movie Is directed by Antoine Fuqua The same person who directed Southpaw Which also starred Jake Gyllenhaal. I liked his directing in that film. But I have to say I think I like his directing in this film more Because well I liked the emotional moments in SouthPaw. I still think the emotional moments here make more sense because this is about a mother who wants to be reunited with her daughter. I have the thing he does an outstanding job of dealing with that subject man because it was really sad that parents in real life get kidnapped and they want to be renewed with their son or their daughter and I still think the movie handles that very seriously. I still think it is really awesome how he did that.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this movie. I still think this is in my top 10 best movies of 2021. I still think this is up there with Southpaw as one of my favorite Jake Gyllenhaal movies. I still think more people should watch this movie especially if you enjoy a really serious movie like Buried with Ryan Reynolds. I give this movie a 10/10.
