Here is My Movie Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Here is my Movie Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

So basically what happens is that it is Christmas time and you have the Guardians celebrating Christmas. But Star Lord is still very depressed after the love of his life Gomorrah has died. The Mantis gets the idea of giving Star Lord the best Christmas ever by going to earth with Drax to find Kevin Bacon and bring him to space to make Starlord happy. That is basically what the story is for this movie.

The acting in this movie is still really great. A lot of the acting is tremendous.

Chris Pratt plays Star-Lord in this movie and he still does a great job . Now Starlord isn't in this movie as much. But for what he does have you really feel bad for him because he is still moaning over the death of Gamora who he really loved. Probably the funniest moment in this movie is where the band 89 which in this movie they are portrayed as aliens and they sing the song I don't know what Christmas is and Star Lord he's gay annoying because gets everything wrong about Christmas in the song. It's just really funny just to watch Star-Lord's reactions to the whole thing. The chemistry between him and Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Dave Batista, and Kevin Bacon is still really amazing.

Vin Diesel voices Groot in this movie and much like all his other MCU appearances he still does a spectacular job voice in the character. Probably the best moment with Groot in this movie is where he pushes the cart that has Kevin Bacon all wrapped up in wrapping paper and it is probably the best moment in this movie. The chemistry between him and Chris Pratt is still awesome.

Sean Gunn plays Kraglin In this movie and he doesn't have much to do in this movie. But for what he has he is still very entertaining as this character. Probably my favorite moment with Kraglin is when he talks to Kevin Bacon about what's like being out of space That's probably one of the most emotional moments of this entire movie.

Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon in this movie. Much like with his other MCU projects Bradley Cooper is still very funny as Rocket Raccoon. Probably the funniest moment is where he is trying to teach Cosmo the dog how to use her telepathic abilities. The chemistry between him and Chris Pratt is still great.

Dave Batista is just as entertaining and Really funny as Drax. Also, much like I said with Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon Dave Batista is still really funny and really entertaining as Drax. Probably the funniest moment in the film is where Drax throws Mantis over the fence and what makes it so funny is that he throws her over the fence before she even finishes her sentences and it was just really funny to watch that. The chemistry between her and Chris Pratt is still really amazing.

Pom Klementieff absolutely nails it as a Mantis. Not only is she really funny but she also is very sympathetic because she wants to give Starlord the best Christmas ever and she'll do anything in her power to make him happy and I still think that is the strongest aspect of this entire film. The Twist revealed that her and Star-Lord brother and sister is a very interesting twist that I predict that's going to play a big role in going to the Galaxy Vol 3. The chemistry between her and Chris Pratt is still really astounding.

Kevin Bacon in this movie he essentially played himself throughout this entire movie. I have to say out of all the characters in this movie. He is probably the funniest character in this film. I just like how Kevin Bacon just wants to be left alone but Drax and Mantis keep following him. My favorite moment is when he first meets Drax and Mantis  he just freaks out because they're not human they're actually aliens then his reaction is very funny. another moment that I found funny is where Kevin Bacon said is that a talking raccoon ?¨ Then Rocket Raccoon says  I'm going to kill you. Probably the funniest moment between him and Drax and Mantis is where he reveals to them that he is an actor and their reactions are really funny because they thought he was Ren McCormake from Footloose. But he told them that he's just an actor. The character is not real. It is just him playing a character and It was just really funny to see their reactions to the whole thing. The chemistry between him and Chris Pratt is still really awesome. Fun fact this is Kevin Bacon's second appearance in a Marvel property because the first Marvel related thing that he was in was he played the main antagonist  Sebastian Shaw from X-Men First Class.

The directing by James Gunn is still very remarkable. What I like about his directing and that he does a tremendous job of developing the relationship between Star-Lord and Mantis. I  still think it is really astonishing how he did it. looking forward to how he is going to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 next year. I hope the movie mainly focused on Star-Lord and Manchester developing more of their relationship.

So in conclusion I still really enjoyed this movie. I still think it is really funny but I did still think that the strongest aspect of this entire movie is the emotional stuff but between Mantis and Star Lord. I'm looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. I still think if you enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy movies or if you enjoy the movie Werewolf by Night you would definitely enjoy this. I give this movie a 10/10.
