Here is My Movie Review of Thor Love and Thunder

Here is my movie review of Thor Love and Thunder

So basically what happens is that you have Thor who is going on a mission with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Then you have this guy named Gorr The God Butcher who is kidnapping all the children of new Asgard. Then you'll have Jane Foster who is diagnosed with cancer and then Thor Hammer calls to her and she becomes Mighty Thor and it's up to her and Thor to take down Gorr The God Butcher and save the children of New Asgard That is basically what the story is for this movie.

Now a lot of people say that the acting this movie is atrocious but I don't think it is that bad In fact I don't think the acting if the problem I think it is the writing and the directing because this movie is so overly goofy that most of the serious stuff is gone but I'll say this all the actors I feel like are having fun in the film you can tell that they are having a blast playing their characters.

The Guardians in this movie even though they were only in the beginning of the film they still do a great job In this movie they're still really funny. Probably the funniest thing between Thor and Star-Lord is where Thor says you can have your ship back and Star Wars says okay That is probably the funniest moment in the film with the Guardians.

Chris Hemsworth plays Thor In this movie. I have to say he's still does a tremendous job as the character. But the character of Thor is way too goofy in this movie there are points where he if serious but for the majority of the movie he just cracks a lot of jokes and this is why I liked him better in the first film because well he had bits of him like he was mostly very serious but the MCU has just dialed his humor up until 11 it doesn't know what one door to be do they want him to be a goofy character or do they want him to be this tragic hero. Probably the best moment with Thor is where he Real Nights with Jane Foster and not only is it really strong but it makes sense because he hadn't seen her for a very long time ever since Thanos Wiped out half of all life in the universe and it is probably the most powerful moment in the film. the chemistry between him and Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe, Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale is astounding

Taika Waititi voices Korg In the film. I still think he does an amazing job as the character. What makes Korg such an interesting character is that he wants to help Thor rescue all the kids of Asgard from Gore the God Butcher. Probably the best moment with Korg Is where she explains the story of Thor and not only is it really interesting but it makes sense because recapping Thor entire life and it is probably the most entertaining part of the film that chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is fantastic.

Tessa Thompson plays King Valkyrie In the film i have to say she still does a awesome job as the character What makes King Valkyrie such a great character is that she desperately wants to help Thor and James Foster/Mighty Thor rescue the kids of Asgard from Gorr The God Butcher. Probably the best moment with King Valkyrie is where she gore the God butcher that he has nothing and not only is it really suspenseful but it makes sense because she is calling him out for killing innocent gods and it's probably the darkest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still great.

Natalie Portman plays Jane Foster/Mighty Thor In the film. I have to say she still does a remarkable job as the character. Now the character of Jane Foster in the first Thor film was just his love interest She didn't really do much. But in this film she has a lot more to do and she wants to help Thor rescue the kids of Asgard from Gore the God Butcher and she is also battling stage 4 cancer and I felt that was it really necessary and she makes jokes about that and I have to say it's kind of dumb because cancer they very serious subject but in this film they treating like it is not a big deal in fact the movie barely focuses on her having stayed for cancer they mentioned a few times and the future they do it does lead to some generally good and emotional moments. Probably the best moment with Jane Foster/Mighty Thor is where she says her final goodbyes to him when they are in Valhalla and not only was it really emotional but it makes sense because she was dying and she had to say her file goodbyes to him and it's probably the saddest moment in the MCU. The chemistry between her and Chris Hemsworth is still really great.

Russell Crowe Plays Zeus in the film. I have to say he does a fantastic job as the character. Now the character of this he's not in this film a lot but for what he does have he is really funny his personality is very entertaining to watch he loves attention he loves fame he's full themselves though interestingly there is a deleted scene of him being nice because the MCU character that is full of himself is ego from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 because that character is virtually irredeemable you can't redeem him. Probably the best moment with Zeus is where Thor ask him if he can have his lightning bolt and this says no and not only was it really funny but it made sense because you have to be worthy to hold it and it's probably the funniest moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Chris Hemsworth is really great.

However The absolute big stand out of the entire film is Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. What makes Gorr The God Butcher such a tremendous villain is that he has a really understandable villain motivation because he wants to use Thor hammer storm breaker to open a portal to Valhalla to bring back his deceased daughter. I still think Gore the God Butcher is up there with Xu Wenwu from Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Because both of them lost their loved ones with Xu Wenwu had to watch his wife be beaten to death by these gang members and he decided to secret revenge and he kills the thugs at a bar and beats them to death and with Gore the God Butcher he was traveling in the desert with his daughter and she died in his arms due to them both starving to death in the desert. So he decides to use Thor's hammer storm breaker to bring her back and the scene where he sacrifices himself to bring her back it's probably the most strongest villain moment in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also the voice that Christian Bale puts on for Gorr the God Butcher is probably the most disturbing voice performance ever in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film and it really works. He's very demonic; he sounds like an actual devil. You know if Christian Bale would have  actually been cast as Mephisto in a Doctor Strange movie he would have been Perfect to play that character. Now if there's one problem I do have with Gorr the God Butcher is that he's not in this movie a whole lot and that's really disappointing because all of his scenes are awesome. I think Gorr the God Butcher and Xu Wenwu are both tied as my favorite villains in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. the rivalry between him and Thor is Terrific. I can also tell that Christian Bale was having a lot of fun playing the character of Gorr the God Butcher. Also the CGI to bring Gorr the God Butcher to life is marvelous

The directing by Taika Waititi is Is really confusing because there's stuff I liked about his directing First thing I'll start off by saying the way he makes James Foster until Lady Thor what a good idea and we're the most part it works really well. Although I did like how he made the guardian of the galaxy a part of this movie they're not in a lot but for what they had they're still funny. Now let's talk about the biggest problem he made this movie way too silly I mean way too goofy to take seriously because you have one of the darkest Thor villains but then you put him in this overly silly MCU movie It's like if you put Mephisto in Ant-Man it wouldn't make any sense because that movie is light-hearted but then you put this evil demon from the hell in the film and it turned into a very dark and gritty Marvel film It would not make anyone happy. To be honest I think they should have gotten the director from Thor the Dark World because that would make a lot more sense In fact I think they should put Gorr the God Butcher in that movie instead of in this film because if you put him in that movie it would made a lot more sense because that film in the darkest out of the Thor movies.

So in conclusion i don't think this movie is that awful as a lot of people say it is but that being said it is the most over the top in the Thor films it's very overly silly there are some dark moments. But I just wish the movie was like the Thor because that film was very serious for the most part it had a few funny moments but mostly it was very serious. But I feel like all of the MCU movies this is the most over the top out of the entire MCU franchise in fact I think it is even more over the top than Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantum Mania because there was that film had funny moments but it was mostly serious. Now obviously the best part is Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher because he has all the best moments of the entire film. Also I do still think that he is up there with Xu Wenwu from Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as one of my favorite phase 4 for villains and one of the most tragic villains in Phase 4. I'll say this Gorr the God Butcher is way better than Taskmaster from Black Widow because that villain was awful well this villain is very sympathetic and very entertaining to watch. I also still think that Gorr The God Butcher is up there with The Riddler from the Batman as one of the best villains of 2022. I also think he is up there with Ikaris from Eternals as one of the best villains of the 2020s. I think this movie could have been a lot better if it was more serious like the first film. I give this movie a 7/10.

    1. I agree with you Lou that Thor Love and Thunder is the best Thor film. Also I like how the Guardians of the Galaxy were at the beginning of the movie. Jane Foster was also really cool with her even Thor's hammer to your battle the demons and Gorr the God Butcher. Also Christian Bale does a phenomenal job as Gorr the God Butcher. I think both him and Xu Wenwu are the best villains in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
