Here is my Movie Review of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

    Now when it comes to this film a lot of people say that this movie was disappointing because they expect it a lot more Multiverse travel for the film because the title was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the characters didn't really go too many universities And they do it at one of the most disappointing films in phase 4 and to be completely honest I never really hate this movie because I always enjoyed this film I always thought it was really fun and it's probably one of the most underrated films in the MCU. Now sure I do want Jude Law as Nightmare to be the main villain in this movie. Sure I think Nightmare Would have been one of the best villains in phase 4. But I didn't hate that they made Wanda Maximoff the main villain in fact I thought that was really amazing and really interesting. 

        Now the storyline in this movie is probably one of the darkest storylines in phase 4 the MCU because it revolved around doctor Strange having these horrifying visions of the Multiverse falling apart and so he can list Wong's help to figure out what is going on and turned out is Wanda maximoff / the Scarlet Witch who is traveling the Multiverse trying to find variance of her kids so she She can be happy again and she believes in order to complete this Mission She must get the dark hold so she can Dream walk To a dimension with her kids are alive and Doctor Strange tell there is a bad idea but she doesn't want to listen to him so she decided to get the dark hold and Doctor Strange and Wong has to help America Chavez Protect her universe by preventing the Scarlet Wench from destroying the Multiverse with the dark hold and that's basically what the story is for this film and I have to say I dig this film has a better storyline than the first film because they're a lot more steaks to it.

The Performances in this movie are incredible because not only do you get like some of the original actors from the first Doctor Strange movie but you also get a lot of cool cameos from other actors that people wanted to see in the MCU and I think everyone does a magnificent job in the film Because you can tell that everyone is having fun in this film and I feel like the acting in this movie is probably Is better than the acting in the first Doctor Strange because everyone in this film actually steps it up And improves on their performances it makes them better. Although I did the acting this movie is probably up there with the acting Thunderbolts as one of the best acted films in the post end game era of the MCU.

Now Benedict Cumberbatch always terrific as Doctor Strange but I have to think he probably give his best performance as this character In this film Because he is playing three variations of this character he played the The original Doctor Strange Sinister strange and zombie strange. Now the character of Doctor Strange is incredible because he have to do everything in his power to protect the Multiverse and prevent Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch from getting the dark holed in harnessing all the power from him to destroy the Multiverse. The scenes with Doctor Strange are incredible whether Whether it's him asking Wanda what will happen To the other variance of her or him fighting Barren Mordo it does lead to some really nail binding and suspenseful moments throughout the film. Now send it to strange is really interesting because it's actually the same character from Marvel's what if and his motivations are the same as it was on what if how he wants to bring back his girlfriend Christine. Now even though Senator strange is in only one scene in the film but it's probably the most memorable moment in the film it's where him and the original Dr. Strange are battling and they're fighting with music and it's probably one of my favorite action scenes in the film. The chemistry between him and Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Chiwetel Ejorfor, John Krasinski, Patrick Stewart, Rachel McAdams, and Elizabeth Olsen is amazing. 

    Now Rachel McAdams comes back as Christine  and her performance is still tremendous in fact I think she's even better in this film than she was in the first film because in the first Doctor Strange movie she was doctor Strange's love interest well in this film they give her a lot more to do add a character. Now the character of Christine is incredible because she has a lot more to do in this film she wants to help Doctor Strange prevent Wanda / the Scarlet Witch from destroying the Multiverse and there are so many emotional moments and whether it is her getting married to Doctor Strange in the beginning of the film or her telling Doctor Strange if he starts to dream walking through Dimensions she will never see him again and he might die it doesn't lead to some really sad and some really heartbreaking moments throughout the film because she doesn't want to lose Doctor Strange or see him die.

Benedict Wong still does a magnificent job as Wong Because he gives one of the most entertaining and the most fun performance in the MCU because even in his first appearance in Doctor Strange I always like them as this character and I would say that this is Benedict Wong's best performance at the character. Now the character of Wong that is still the same he still wise He still likes to Mentor Doctor Strange and in this movie he wants to help Dr Strange and America Chavez prevent Wanda maximoff/ The Scarlet Witch from destroying The Multiverse By using the dark hold. The scenes with Wong are Incredible whether it is him Meeting American Chavez for the first time or him reacting to Doctor Strange turning into zombie strange it does lead to some really fun moments throughout the film. The chemistry between him and Benedict Cumberbatch is still exquisite 

Now Chiwetel Ejiofor I think he was pretty much wasted in that first Doctor Strange movie he didn't really deal anything as As Baren Mordo he did a good enough job as the character but he wasn't a villain he was just a set of character and they didn't really do anything with him. But in this film He had a lot more to do as Baron Mortal even though he's only One scene at least in this film Baren Mordo is a villain. Also the scene where he is battling Doctor Strange is a really fun and entertaining moment in the film. The chemistry between him and Benedict Cumberbatch is excellent 

Xochitl Gomez does a terrific job as America Chavez. Now The character America Chavez is extraordinary character Is that you feel bad for her because in a flashback acknowledges that she accidentally used her powers and sent her parents through a portol and you can see why she wants to try to control her powers. I like how she has a few funny jokes but she's mostly serious in this movie She doesn't want Wanda maximoff / the score witch to destroy the Multiverse The scenes with America Chavez Are probably some of my favorite moments in the film whether it is her Doctor Strange along trying to outrun the scar witch or her explaining doctor Strange that there are no other variants of her in the Multiverse it does lead to some really intense and some really entertaining moments throughout the film. Fun fact actresses like Lily Resto and Isabela Merced were both considered to play America Chavez.

    Haley Atwell reprises her role as Captain Carter from what if and is so fun to see or play this character in live action and her performance is still tremendous you can tell that she is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Captain Carter is exactly how she is on what if she enjoys protecting people from danger She wants to protect the Illuminati from The Scarlet Witch. The scenes with Captain Carter are really interesting Whether it's her meeting doctor strange for the first time with the Illuminati or her trying to fight the Scarlet Witch it does lead to something really amazing and some really intense moments in the film and the see what she dies during that fight where the scar witch just killed her by spraying her in half with her Shield that is probably one of the most graphic moments in the film. 

Now A lot of people really wanted John Krasinski to play Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic In the MCU and when people finally saw him in this movie a lot of people were happy but they were also disappointed that he was killed off by The Scarlet Witch and to be completely honest I still think he does a terrific job as the character for what he has he is still entertaining. Now the character of Reed Richard/Mr Fantastic is relatively the same as he is in the comics he's very smart. The scene where Reed Richards / Mr Fantastic is trying to reason with Wanda By telling her that he knows with like to have kids and to have a family and tell they're not to kill him or the Illuminati it's probably what the most horrifying moments in the film just watching her turn them into spaghetti and kill off the rest of the Illuminati.

Patrick Stewart does an outstanding job in this film because Now the character Charles Xavier Have not changed he is really intelligent and very wise and much like Reed Richards and Doctor Strange He also knows a lot about the multiverse. I got to say it is so awesome to hear Patrick Stewart's voice again. His death in this movie is really surprising. Probably the best moment with Charles Xavier is where he goes inside Wanda's head and tries to read them with her but she doesn't take it really well and snaps his neck which killed them and not only was it a very shocking disturbing moment but it makes sense because Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Wench didn't want to change and she was still pursuit of her mission to kill American child in this bike using her multi-verse jumping powers to go to a universe so she could be with her kids. It's probably the most horrifying sequence of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Benedict Cumberbatch is  really Awesome. Fun fact this is Patrick Stewart's 18th time playing Charles Xavier. 

Fun fact actors Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender were rumored to reprise the role as Magneto so basically in this film would have shown a variant of Magneto that was the father to Wanda Maximoff  It would have been more accurate to the comic books and that would be cool if either of those actors came back to play the character. 

Fun fact Nicolas Cage was rumored to reprise his role as Ghost rider so this would have been his third time playing the character in a Marvel movie. Now it's unknown what Ghost rider was going to do. My guess is he was going to be part of the Illuminati but possibly survived against Wanda or possibly died against her. It would have been cool to see Nicolas Cage come back as Ghost Rider. But I think it would be very strange. But very interesting to see him in the film because he would fit with the horror aspect of the film.  

Elizabeth Olsen absolutely nailed it as the Scarlet Witch. What makes her  such a astonishing villain is downright horrifying in this movie. She is really scary.  Her motivation is really understandable because all she wants is to be reunited with her kids. Her design is also really great. It is really cool just to see how far Scarlet Witch has grown as a character because in Avengers Age of Ultron she's starting out as a villain. But later on in the movies she starts to become good. But in the movie she is downright evil. But you also feel really bad for her because she wasn't doing this to be evil she was doing this to get her  kids back. Now I know a lot of people were disappointed that Wanda maximoff/the Scarlet Witch was the main villain this film but I never really hate it I only thought it was a good idea to have the Scarlet Witch of a full-on villain now again would I wanted Jude Law as Nightmare to be the main villain in the film? Sure I think that would have been epic and I think that would have viewed the wise due the law in the MCU a lot better than what they did with him in Captain Marvel. But again I didn't really hate the change of making Wanda the villain this movie What the perfect choice because again are the character Wanda Maximum / the Scarlet Witch is a broken character in this film because he's trying to find happiness she just go the bout doing it the wrong way. The scenes with Wanda maximoff/The Scarlett witch are are probably some of disturbing moments in phase 4 whether it's her killing all the members of the Illuminati or Her trying to absorb America Chavez his powers so she can Multiverse jump into a different Universe which would Would cause America Chavez to die. It does lead to some of the most brutal moments in this entire film. the rivalry between her and Doctor Strange, Wong, The Illuminati and America Chavez is excellent because she doesn't care who she has to kill she would kill anyone who stands in her way in order to complete her mission into being reunited with her children that's how far she'll go to find happiness. The chemistry between her and Benedict Cumberbatch is astonishing. 

The special effects in this movie are fantastic I think the special effects are better than they were in the first Doctor Strange. The action scenes in this movie are really fun. My favorite action sequence in this movie is where Doctor Strange and Wong are fighting the giant tentacle monster. The final battle in this movie is probably my favorite climax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 so far. 

But I don't think this movie would have been nearly as awesome as it was If it wasn't for the directing of Sam Raimi. He does a phenomenal job directing this movie because he knows how to do horror because he directed the Evil Dead movies And his directing in this movie is incredible because what I love about his directed that he is not afraid to show really gory and scary moments because one thing you'll have a scene of Doctor Strange Meeting America Chavez for the first time but the next scene you'll have The Scarlett Witch snapping Charles Xavier's neck and his mind. Also I love the way that he develops the character America Chavez Of how she lost her parents how she Want to help Doctor Strange stop the Scarlet Witch from destroying the Multiverse. So I thought he did a terrific job directing the film but the problem is the studio took control away from Sam Rami and that's why People were disappointed because they were expecting a foreign Sam Raymond movie But it was split between a Sam Ramey movie and a MCU movie. I do wish they let Sam Rami Full creative control but again I think he did a terrific job of directing the movie the best he can.  Fun fact directors like Ari Aster, Mike Flanag, and Jennifer Kent were all considered to direct this movie.

So in conclusion This is still one of the best MCU movies in Phase 4 because of how dark and creepy it is haven't been a horror movie was an amazing idea I think for the most part it actually does work because there were a lot of moments that are really creepy the one that is really creepy at the part where the scar which essentially grows like Spider legs chases Doctor Strange and Wong and American Chavez down the hallway that's where the scariest moments in the entire film. Also I did the storyline was a lot more interesting than the storyline the first film have it revolve around Doctor Strange teaming up with America Chavez to prevent the Scarlet Witch from getting the door called and destroying the Multiverse it was a really awesome storyline and it's probably one of the darkest storylines in the MCU phase 4. Also all the performances are incredible but Elizabeth Olsen in the standout of the entire film as the Scarlet Witch you can tell that she is having a lot of fun as this character and she probably gives one of the scariest performances in the MCU phase 4. I also liked all the cameos in this movie like Patrick Stewart as Professor X Haley Atwell as Captain Carter. Those two cameos were my favorite in the films. I still think this film is up there with Everything Everywhere All At once with Ke Huy Quan as one of my favorite movies of 2022. Also The Scarlet Witch is up there with The Void from Thunderbolts* as one of my favorite villains in the MCU. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you enjoy Thunderbolts* with Lewis Pullman or if you like the first Doctor Strange that also Stars Benedict Wong. then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
