Here is My Movie Review of Rim of The World

So basically what happens is that you have this Teenager name Alex and he is sent to this summer camp called Rim of The World where he meets Daruish and at first they don't really like each other and then They meet These other kids named  Gabriel and Zhen Zhen and then find out that they're this alien vegans are there the key that Alex has to take all the only than save the world and that's been when the stories and to be honest I didn't give a fuck about the story because It is just a absolute rip-off to the storyline in The Goonies where you have this teenager named Mikey and his friends find out that their houses are going to be torn down to make a golf course so they decide to find One Eyed Willie's Treasure to prevent that from happening but the only difference is that The Goonies had a much better and interesting storyline. But with this film The storyline that comes off very boring and just comes off at a big fuck you to the Goonies because that movie had a really fun and interesting storyline and the characters are likable. Well in this movie all the characters except for one. But most of the characters are just assholes and they just argue constantly throughout this film. 

I'm going to say this the acting in the film is the worst acting I have ever seen for a Netflix film ever as much as I hated Death Note 2017 and trust me I despite that movie I think that one is a piece of shit at least with that one there was one good performance with this there is one of the performance but most of the performances are very awful and most of the characters are just crappy rip-offs of the characters from The Goonies. 

Jack Gore plays Alex in the film. I have to say he is horrible in this movie. He just Constantly yells a lot, he just goes over the top and he's just not funny or entertaining. But the character of Alex is awful because he is told that he has to find this key to stop the alien from attacking and he also has to try to cope with the Lost of his dad but that only comes into play in the last like the last 20 minutes in the movie so it's really not that interesting and also he is rip off to Mikey from The Goonies because he is the leader of their friend group but the only difference is Mikey was more determined to prevent their town from being destroyed and He wanted him and friends to go find the treasure to fix everything. Also Mikey had a really good monologue in the film where he says Goonies never died. This is our time, it is the most powerful moment and it is the best part of that movie. It's one of the most iconic speeches In the movie as well. But the speech Alex gives in this movie comes off very crappy and uninteresting. The chemistry between him and Benjamin Florence Jr, Alessio Scalzotto, and Miya Catch Is fine. 

However the worst performance in this entire film is Benjamin Florence Jr as Dariush because he is so annoying as this character he just screams a lot. He just  goes over the top as possible and it's not funny at all. Not to mention the character of Dariush Is so annoying because he says a lot dirty stuff and just a lot of swear words and it's not funny because he just comes off at the more annoying because he is just a unfunny rip off to Mouth from The Goonies but the only difference is that Mouth Is funny because he talks a lot and Brandon Mikey's older brother finds him annoying that's what makes Mouth such a funny and entertaining character. The scene where tries to sleep the with Zhen Zhen is so weird or just that the dumb sex reference which was not funny and that's another thing a lot  Mouth Well was a lot more funny when he said something dirty in The Goonies it was really funny and what made it funny is that kids did not get the joke because it's a very adult reference so that's something that the adults can laugh at because they understand the reference. The chemistry between him and Jack Gore Is okay. 

Now the only good performance in this entire film is actually Miya Cech as Zhen Zhen. I felt like she was the only actor in this movie that actually managed to give a decent performance. Also  to be honest I think Zhen Zhen Is the best character because she is not a dumbass like the rest of the characters in this movie she's actually smart. But have Said That her character Is still not interesting because did that comes off as kind of a rip off Andy from The Goonies because both of them fall in love with one of the characters but the only difference is that Andy was memorable well then Zhen in this film wow this film she is just there to be Alexis's Love Interest in the film that is all she is there to do. The chemistry between her and Jack Gore is okay. 

Alessio Scalzotto plays Gabriel In the film. I have to say he is also really bad in this because his performance is so flat and Not entertaining because it feels like he was just sleep walking throughout His performance. But the character of Gabriel is so awful because he is just such a jerk in this film and he is not funny. He  just comes off at the rip off of Brandon from The Goonies because In that film Brandon is an asshole but he's an asshole for all the right reasons because he finds the Goonies very annoying especially Mouth because he can't stop talking but he eventually likes them at the end of the film and It is actually funny when he argues with The Goonies especially when he says shut up Mouth because he find him annoying. They also try to make him like Data as well because he is the smart one. but the difference is that Data is actually really funny and entertaining.  Also Ke Huy Quan was a lot funnier as the character and gave him a much better and entertaining performance. The chemistry between him and Jack Gore is fine. 

The worst thing about this movie is the directing by McG because he just tried to make this movie really raunchy and very dirty and it just does not work and It does feel like he just want to make more dirty and raunchy version of The Goonies and to be honest we already have a more raunchy version of The Goonies it's called The King of Summer which was they way better movie because the raunchy humor was funny and be the three main characters were actually likable. Also the humor that he incorporates in this film It's just not funny it is a bunch of references and a lot of sex jokes but they did not work the alien storyline that he makes in the film just does not make sense and he can direct if you seen the babysitter movies that are horror movies I have not seen but I heard from people that who have seen them said that they are not that bad. So overall I think he did a horrible job directing the film because he does not develop any of the characters because he just makes all the characters just rip off interpretations of the characters in The Goonies. 

So in conclusion I hated this film. The storyline was not interesting because first of all it takes like 25 minutes to get to the alien Invasion and by the time you get to it you're just not really interested. Also the characters except Zhen Zhen are just assholes and just rip offs of the characters from The Goonies. The film tried to make them just like the characters in that film but it did not work at all. This is The worst Netflix original film I have ever seen. Yes I hated this more than Death Note 2017,  War Machine, Velvet Buzzsaw because as much as I did not like those movies at least those films had one good performance. Also I'm going to say this this is not only the worst Netflix original film it is the most boring film I have ever seen yes I have said I hate this more than The Woman In The Window because as much as I hate that movie because of how boring and uninteresting is at least It had better performance then in this film because at least Gary Oldman gave the best performance in that film. If I made a top 30 worst movies I have ever seen this will probably be either at number Five or number two. That's how bad this film was. This is easily in my top three worst movies of 2019 and it is probably up there with Replica with Keanu Reeves as one of the worst films of 2019. This is also up there with Surf ´ s Up to Wave Mania as one of the worst movies of all time. Also this movie is up there with Accidental Love as one of the worst movies of the 2010s I say just fucking skip this movie and go watch The Goonies with Josh Brolin because that film is actually funny the characters are like able and the storyline is actually interesting. I give this movie 1/10.
