Here is My Villain Review of Mr Paradox
Now I'm going to discuss the character Of Mr Paradox who is the secondary villain in 2024´s Deadpool and Wolverine and explain why He has such a disposable villain and why I think he is one of the most disposable villains in the MCU.
Origin- Now Mr Paradox's origin is pretty interesting because he was born on the sacred timeline and he became a variant Which caused the TVA to take him and have his memory erased. So he could be a member of their organization and take it over so he could be the Rule the TVA and Roule over The timeline and destroy any of them that will be deemed not perfect. To be honest it did an okay job with Mr Paradox's backstory. I think it makes sense for him to be the Leader of the TVA. He is willing to make everything the way that he wants it to be.
Character- Now to be honest Mr Paradox is just a selfish asshole that is the entire thing with his character he is smug he is Arrogant he wants everything to go the way that he wants it to be so essentially he's just spoiled with power that is his entire character. I think the film does a fantastic job of making you hate him because in an asshole but beyond that the film doesn't really do much with him as the character.
Motivation- Now Mr. Paradox's motivation in that he wants to destroy Deadpool of Universe by using the time remember to destroy every Multiverse to make everything perfect the way that he wanted to be in to be completely honest I think it kind of works in terms of the story because it is a Multiverse film. But in terms of the character I think his motivation wasn't strong. I think Cassandra Nova Had a way better motivation Because she had a reason to want to destroy the Multiverse because she wanted just the void to be the only thing in the universe because she enjoys it there and wants to rule it. So overall I think the Film did an ok job with Mr. Paradox's motivations.
Best Scenes- Now I'm in the Paradox does have a few interesting moments in the film and they all work for the story and there was that I One moment with Mr. Paradox and that is when he says to Devadpool and you broke my nose and not only was it really funny but to be perfectly honest he kind of deserved to have his nose broken because he was just being a selfish asshole and I think the scene also works due to Matthew Mactdyen´s entertaining performance.
Evil Deeds- Now Amanda Paradox does a lot of evil things in this film he manipulates Deadpool into help him save the sacred timeline he also threatens to erase Deadpool from existence because He views the universe as not perfect and wants to be destroyed. He also Manipulates Pyro into joining him. I'm in the film did a decent job of Showing on how Selfish and evil Mr. Paradoxes as a villain.
Conclusion- To be honest Mr. Paradox isn't a horrible MCU villain because there are worse villains in the MCU like Ultron from Avengers Age of Ultron and Aldridge Killian from Iron Man 3. Also he is not the worst villain of 2024 the worst villain of 2024 is Ezekiel Sims from Madam Web because that character has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Well Mr. Paradox at least is interesting I think his backstory will handle really well. Also The scene where He says to Deadpool and you broke my nose is a really funny scene and it is all thanks to Matthew Mactdyen ´ s entertaining Performance. But overall I just feel Mr. Paradox is a very unnecessary villain that it feels like they should just took him out of the movie in the movie would have been just fine without him you didn't really need him as a secondary villain to be honest Cassandra Nova Should have been the only villain in the film because she was a lot better written than Mr Paradox. I think Mr Paradox is up there with The Collector from Guardian the Galaxy as one of the most disposable villains in the MCU. I am going to give Mr Paradox 5/10.
