Here is My Movie Review of The Devil All The Time

So basically what happens is  that it takes place during World War II and you have this gun named Willard Russell  who is fighting in the war and after that he comes back to the war and he means this woman named Charlotte and starts to fall in love with her and he marries her and they have a kid named Arvin Russell and Willard tell him to always fall his religion. But at the same time he's trying to get over his PTSD from the war.  But then Arvin starts to fall in love with this woman named Sandy but then he goes down a dark path and he gets addicted to killing and but then Sandy Henderson´s his brother Deputy Lee Bodecker tries to stop him and it's up to Arvin Russell to try to follow his religious path and prevent himself from going down a dark path and that is basically what the story is for this film. I have to say the storyline in this film is tremendous because it is really incredible to have a film where religion in the the theme of the film but it also shows that religion can be turned backwards and easily corrupt people in life and the way the storyline tackled that subject from a character point of view is terrific.

The acting in this movie is terrific because all these actors do a glorious job playing their characters and this is probably have the best Ensemble of any film in 2020 because you have a lot of big named actors in this film and all of them Oh really fun to watch in this film. This film is probably up there with Mank with Gary Oldman as one of the best acted films of 2020 Because both lead actors give their best performances in each film Gary Oldman give the one that's best performances in Mank and Bill Skarsgard gives one of his best performances in this film.

However the absolute biggest standout of the entire film is Bill Skarsgard as Willard Russell. Now the character of Willard Russell Is really incredible because to say this guy is really strict that's playing it too lightly this guy will go out of his way to torture his own son Arvin Russell to follow In his religious path and try not to go down a dark path. The scene were Willard Russell where he tells his son Arvin pray harder so his wife's cancer will go away and not only was it really powerful but it makes sense because she didn't want his wife to die of cancer. It is probably the most suspenseful moment of the entire film. Fun fact a year later after this film was released Bill Skarsgard will go on to play the secondary villain Kro in 2021's Eternals. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, and  Riley Keough Is still fantastic. 

Haley Bennett plays Willard Russell´s Charlotte Russell in the film. I have to say she still does an outstanding job as the character. Now the character of Charlotte Russell  is excellent that you could tell that she really cares for her husband Willard Russell and their son Arvin Russell. The scene where Charlotte Russell she first meets Willard Russell in the diner and she starts to fall in love with him and not only was it really emotional but it makes sense because She would eventually marry him and they'll have a kid and it's probably the most strongest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Bill Skarsgard is brilliant. 

Tom Holland plays Arvin Russell in the film. I have to say he still does a marvelous job as the character. Now the character of  Arvin Russell is Remarkable because he wants to obey his father Willard Russell's orders by following his religion in trying to stay on that path. But unfortunately he starts to go down a very dark path and become the serial killer. The scene were Arvin Russell is when he points his gun at Rev Preston Teagardin demanding answers of why  he cheated   and not only was it really suspenseful but it made sense because he demanded answers of why he did it. It is probably the Shocking moment of the entire film. This is probably the darkest performance Tom Holland has ever given. The chemistry between him and Haley Bennett. 

Riley Keough  plays Sandy Hendrickson in the film. I have to say she still does an incredible job as the character. Now the character Sandy Hendrickson is amazing because she really wants Arvin Russell to stay on his religious path. Unfortunately he goes down a dark path and becomes more sadistic. The scene were Sandy Hendrickson is where she and Roy Laferty are looking up at the sky and seeing the trade and not only was it really powerful but it makes sense because she really cared about him it is probably the most beautiful moment of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Tom Holland is magnificent. 

Robert Pattinson plays Preston Teagardin In the film. I have to say he still does a fantastic job as the character. Now The character Preston Teagardin is a perfect villain because his motivation is that he wants to avoid Arvin Russell's vengeance. The scene were Preston Teagardin tells the reason why he killed his little sister because She was delusional and not only was it really disturbing but it made sense because she wanted to break Arvin  Russell and make him go crazy.It is probably the most shocking moment of the entire film. I still think Preston Teagardin is up there with Cap from Love & Monsters as one of the best villains of 2020. Fun fact 2 years after the film released Robert Pattinson went on to play Bruce Wayne/BatMan in 2022's The Batman. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland is beautiful. 

Sebastian Stan plays Sandy Hendrickson´s  brother Deputy Lee Bodecker. In the film I have to say he still does a Amazing job as the character. Now the character of Deputy Lee Bodecker Is outstanding is that he wants to find Arvin Russell and Kellum for all the crimes that he has committed. The scene were Deputy Lee Bodecker Is when he confronts Arvin Russell and trys to kill him and not only was it very dark but it makes sense because he wanted to kill him for all the crimes that he has committed. It is probably the most disturbing moment of the entire film Because Arvin Russell has killed a couple people and command a lot of crime so Deputy Lee Bodecker But with the only way to fix everything is to kill him. The chemistry between him and Tom Holland is astonishing. 

However the best thing about this entire movie is the directing by Antonio Campos because what I love about his directing is that He gets everything right about the book because The exact same thing happens in the film because it takes place during World War II Willard Russell comes back from the war he He wants his son Arvin Russell To follow in his religious footsteps by praying harder and listen to God and believes god will solve all of his problems what is this eventually pushes Arvin Russell down a dark path of violence and corruption. I also like he how he tackled the subject of how religion can corrupt people how people can twist God's words and believe that God will solve all their problems and they are eventually become corrupt religious zealence because that can actually happen to people who exploit religion and turn it on its head. I also like how he takes the subject really seriously because religion is a very serious and tricky thing to discuss because Some people are very sensitive to talking about religion and they like to be equaled off about it. I think it's really incredible how he directed the film as a powerful religious drama.

So in conclusion i still really love this film the storyline revolving around Willard Russell coming back from World War II and corrupting his own son Arvin Russell to follow in his own religious footsteps and making him pray to God and believe that God will solve all of their problems and it eventually devolved into Arvin Russell going crazy and committing murder and becoming corrupt by his father's religious words. It is one of the best storylines of 2020. I think this storyline ended up there with the storyline Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and one of the best storylines of the 2020s. Also the performances are tremendous the two big standouts are Bill Skarsgard who gave the one the more powerful performances of 2020 as Willard Russell. In fact this is one of my favorite performances from Bill Skarsgard. Also Tom Holland gave one of his best performances of his entire career outside of the MCU. I think Tom Holland's performance is up there with Bradley Cooper ´ s performance in Guardians the Galaxy vol 3 as one of the best performances of the 2020s. This is easily in my top 5 favorite films of 2020. I think this film is up there with Killers of the Flower Moon Robert De Niro as one of my favorite films in the 2020s. I highly recommend you watch the film especially if you enjoy First Reformed with Ethan Hawke then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.

Here is My Movie Review of the Elephant Queen

So basically what happens is that you have this elephant named Athena who is navigating through the country of Africa with her family trying to survive in the heat while trying to get to her watering hole and she has to face so many challenges with her family in order to get there and it's up to Athena and her family get to get to the watering hole and survive the heart heat of Africa and that is basically what the story is for the film. 

Now much like my movie review of Hubble the acting is just one actor narrating throughout the film.

 Chiwetel Ejiofor Narrates the film. I have to say he still does a spectacular job of narrating. What I like about having a narration is that he explains that it is a tough time for Athena and her family to get to the Watering hole because elephants have to go to the water hole and it takes them a very long time to get there and they have to survive in the hot heat. Probably my favorite moment is when Chiwetel Ejiofor is narrating at the end where he explains that Athena is giving birth to our new baby elephant. Not only was it really powerful but it made sense because she Needed to give birth so her new baby could be a part of her family. It is probably the strongest moment of the entire film.  Also I could tell that Chiwetel Ejiofor was having a lot of fun narrating the film. 

The directing by Mark Deeble and Victoria Stone It's terrific because what I like about their directing is that they do a fantastic job of discussing the Life of a mother elephant need to watch over her babies and Brighten them till the watering hole so they can drink water and what the trials and tribulations in order to get there is that they have two navigate the hot weather of Africa and survive. I still think it is awesome and how they did that. 

So in conclusion I still really enjoy this movie. I still think it is a terrific and well done documentary surrounding the story of Athena having to navigate her family in Africa in order to get to their watering hole. This is still one of the best movies of 2019. I also think this is up there with Causeway and one of my favorite A24 films. Also this is up there with Finch with Tom Hanks at one of my favorite Apple TV Plus original films. I have to say if you enjoy Nature documentaries like Tiny World with Paul Rudd then I'm sure you're going to like this one. I give this movie a 10/10.
