Here is My Movie Review for The Man In My Basement

Here is My Movie Review for The Man In My Basement

Now when this film was announced I was very curious about this film mainly because it starred Willem Dafoe who was an actor I really enjoy in films like the Northman Spider-Man No Way Home Among many other films he has been in. So I watched this film and I have to say this is probably the most entertaining Stones of 2025. Now I will say movies like Superman,  28 Years Later are a lot better but this film was really entertaining.

Now the story is really interesting because it focuses around this guy named Charles Blakely who is one day approached by this guy named Anniston Bennett who wants to buy his house but Charles refuses. So Anniston Bennett decides to live in his basement and it doesn't sound that bad because Charles at first doesn't mine Anniston Bennett because he's shown to be really nice but as the film goes on Charles starts to suspect there something off about him so he has to do everything power to get and Anniston Bennett out of his house and that's basically what the story is for this film. Now the storyline is really It's really disturbing but really interesting having it revolve around this guy who doesn't  who doesn't want this random person to crash at their house but he will want to make decides to let really creepy and unstable guy to stay in the basement but then he eventually has enough that wants to get rid of him and it is a really interesting concept in the film executes it perfectly.

Now the performances are incredible because all the actors managed to give really creepy but really captivating performances because you can tell that these actors are having the time of their lives  in the film. I think the acting is up there with the acting in The long walk and one of the best acted films of 2025.

Corey Hawkins plays Charles Blakely In the film and his performance is magnificent because he gets such a raw and remarkable performances as this character because when Charles Blakley need to be all stressed out and worried Corey Hawkins does a glorious job of doing that when the character need to be emotional Hawkins does a great job with that as well. Now the character of Charles Blakely is someone you do feel bad for because he is about to lose his house and he doesn't want Anniston Bennett to take his house because he thinks that  Anniston Bennett is going to take over his house. The scenes with Charles Blakely are terrific whether it is the scene of him telling Anniston Bennett that he can't have his house or him going down into the basement and serving Anniston Bennett It does lead to some really unsettling and creepy moments throughout the film. The chemistry between him and  Willem Dafoe is magnificent.

Now let's talk about Willem Dafoe. Now he is a tremendous actor. He has given some really entertaining and captivating performances and films like Togo, Spider-Man No Way Home, and The Last Temptation Of Christ. Even in films where he plays a minor role like Asteroid City, The Northman, The Card Counter. He still gives really amazing performances. Now with this film that's no different because Willem Dafoe Give another incredible because he probably gives one of the most creepiest but yet most captivating performances of his entire career as the character of Anniston Bennett because when the character needs to be calm and manipulative Willem Dafoe does a fantastic job with that when the character needs to be really horrifying and crazy he also does a magnificent job of pulling that off as well because if you think about it you could say that Willem Dafoe is kind of playing the Joker in this movie because he switches from being calm to being downright psychopathic Because this is probably the closest thing we are going to get to having Willem Dafoe play The Joker in live action Now The character of Anniston Bennett Is really incredible because when you first introduce to him he doesn't seem that crazy he wants To buy Charles Blakely’s house and wants to live in the basement. But later on Anniston Bennett starts to go absolutely ballistic and wants Charles Blakely to stay in the basement with him. The scene with Anniston Bennett  are some of the best moments you will ever see Willem Dafoe In a film whether it is Anniston Bennett telling Charles Blakley to give him a book Or him violently trying to choke Charles Blankly in the basement while he is in the cage it does lead to some downright horrifying and very messed up moments in the film but it works because You could say Willem Dafoe is playing The Joker in this movie the way he  playing mind games with Charles Blakely. I still think Anniston Bennett is up there with Galactus from Fantastic 4 First Steps as one of the best villains of 2025. The chemistry between him and Corey Hawkins is terrific.

However the best thing about this movie is the directing by Nadia Latif because for this being her directorial debut she still does a magnificent job directing this film because what I love about her directing is that she does a magnificent job of making you sympathize with Charlie Blankly Because this is a guy that's having a lot of bad luck in particular having his house being taken away having a during psycho live in his basement and you really want him to get Anniston Bennett  out of his house and out of his basement so he doesn't try to kill him. I also like how she develops the character of  Anniston Bennett because make a villain both somewhat down-to-earth but also really disturbing because this is a guy who's obsessed with Charles Blankly and wants him to stay with him forever in the basement because he believed that Charles Blakely is his friend. I think it is really incredible how she did that. I am looking forward to what she's going to direct in the future.

So in conclusion I really enjoyed this film the storyline was really disturbing but really interesting haven't revolved around this guy who is about to lose his house and then this random guy decides to stay in the basement and essentially manipulates and tortures Charles blankly into being his best friend is a really creepy and disturbing concept and the film executes it perfectly. To be honest the storyline is probably up there with The storyline in Warfare With Joseph Quinn as one of the best storylines of 2025. Also the performances are really amazing the obvious big standout is Willem Dafoe Because he gives one of the most creepiest but one of the most charismatic performances of the entire film because you get to tell that he is having a lot of fun in the film as the character Anniston Bennett  because again you can view this performance as a prototype version of him playing the Joker in a Batman movie because there are some similarities to the Joker and Anniston Bennett because both of them like to manipulate the main character in both of them are really crazy and really downright psychopathic. Also Anniston Bennett is probably up there with The High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 as one of the best villains of the 2020s. This is probably one of Willem Dafoe’s most entertaining films because I do think films like Murder On The Orient Express, Togo, The Lighthouse, and Spider-Man No Way Home are better Willem Dafoe films. But this one it's still one of his most entertaining films. I have to say this film is probably up there with The long walk with Mark Hamill as one of the best films of 2025. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like really creepy and suspenseful films like Locked with Bill Skarsgard. Then I'm sure you're going to like this film. I give this film a 10/10.

Here is My Movie Review of Dunkirk

Here is My Movie Review of Dunkirk

Now this is going to be a very different review because well I'm going to talk about the movie itself. I mostly want to talk about It is one of the best war films of all time.

Now the storyline in this movie is very simple it takes place during the events of World War II you have the British trying to survive against not the Germany and trying to when the war and have the US overthrow the Nazis and end World War II ones and for all and they had to Evacuate somewhere to survive against the Nazis. And that's basically why the story is very simple and really interesting and it is accurate because this did happen in real life and it is probably one of the best storylines of 2017.

Now usually i would talk about the performances and to be completely honest i still think the acting is brilliant and I will talk about it really briefly but i'm monthly going to be talking about why this is one of the best war films and one of the best films of 2017.

Now something I really love about this film is That it perfectly showed how the British soldiers react to getting attacked by the Nazis they were really scared and some of them were so scared that they didn't want to fight against the Nazis because The soldiers in Germany We're really intelligent because they knew how to fight against the US I think the film execute that perfectly because This really did happen real life a lot of soldiers were really scared to fight against the Nazis And multiple soldiers had to encourage their comrades to step up and fight back to have the US win against the war and end World War II once and for all. Something else I really like about the film is that it doesn't have much dialogue it mostly  tell the story through vigils and Dramatic music and That's something that is actually the best thing about this movie is that it showed the dramatic moments of World War II without having characters talk or give dramatic dialogue now the character then this movie they do give awesome and dramatic dialogue but is Mowie the music and the cinematography that most we does all the talking for the story. Which is the cinematography is the best thing about this movie because it is really beautiful just those scenes alone where the soldiers are on the boats and trying to avoid gang boned up by the Nazis is probably the best moments because of how brilliantly Christopher Nolan was able to shoot and direct those scenes so well in fact all the war moments are the best moments of the entire film. Also the music as I already stated is really brilliant because it is composed  by the legendary Hans Zimmer who is a really good film composer who composed some of the best music in some of the best films of all time like The Lion King, Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Trilogy. Among many other films. My favorite piece of music in the film is The Mole because it sets up the film tremendously. It is the first piece of me that you hear at the very beginning of the film and it sets up the tone in the atmosphere of the film perfectly. Also the whole soundtrack is perfect. It's probably one of the best soundtracks of any Christopher Nolan film right up there with Inception as one of my favorite soundtracks of any film.  Also the performances are tremendous whether you're talking about Barry Keoghan, Harry Styles, Tom Hardy or even Cillain Murphy's minor role. All the performances are really amazing. If I had to pick my favorite it is Barry Keoghan because he gives such a mesmerizing  performance as George Miles. Also George miles is probably my favorite character in the film because he is the character that you really care about because in real life he really wanted to join the brush to fight against the Nazi the World War II and throughout the film you can see how much he is to prove that he can be a Marine and prove that he can be important to his team. Either way the best thing about this movie is the directing by Christopher Nolan  who is probably one of my favorite directors of all time because he directed some of my favorite films which include Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Prestige. Now with this film there's no difference because he does a magnificent job directing this film much like the rest of the film he has directed because Christopher Nolan knows exactly what he's doing he wanted to make a war film that focused more on dramatic music and the spectacle of war rather than the characters and the dialogue and he does make you feel really bad for these soldiers because they were real George Miles wanted to become a member of The US Army to end World War II. I also like how he gets everything about what happened in World War II really accurately because the US had to fight against the Nazis to put an end to all the death and destruction that happened in World War I and World War II. Overall I think he does a magnificent job directing this film and this is probably my 10th favorite film he's directed because I think the films that he has directed are better than this one. So in conclusion I still really love this film because it does such a magnificent job of showing the heartbreaking nature and the darkness of what the US soldiers had to go through in World War II because they had to take down the Nazis and end the war. Now even though this film doesn't have a lot of dialogue I'm actually happy with that because it tells its story perfectly by using the chromatography and the dramatic and heart pounding me that plays the route the entire film. I also think the performance is are really terrific even though they don't have much to do in terms of character development i was actually okay with it because This they are still able to give really emotional and heartbreaking performances My favorite performance in this film is very Keoghan as George Miles because he gives one of the most beautiful and heart pounding performances in the entire film. Also the other actors like Cillain Murphy and Tom Hardy are really terrific in this film even though they don't have much to do they are still entertaining. To be honest this is the second Christopher Nolan film to have Bane and scarecrow AKA Tom Hardy and Kelly Murphy because they were both in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Also this film is in my top 3 favorite films of 2017. This is probably up there with Wind River with Jeremy Renner as one of my favorite films of 2017. Also this is easily my favorite War film of all time because of how beautiful and emotional it is with the way it tells its story through visuals and music. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like The King with Robert Pattinson then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.

Here is My Movie Review of Warfare

Here is My Movie Review of Warfare

Now when this film was announced I was somewhat interested because it is an A24 film and those films are always fun and entertaining. But the other reason is that it is a war film now. When it comes to war films I enjoyed them. Some of my favorites include 1917, The King among many others. So I watched this film and I have to say this is probably one of the best war films I have ever seen because it showed the heartbreaking nature and the darkness of the war that happened in 2006. That is of course The Battle of Ramadi because of the really brutal and really dark time in the early 2000s. The other thing that was really terrific is the performances which I'll get to later but this has got to be one of the best acted War films of all time. Also this is probably one of the best films of 2025 now I will say I think Movies like The Long Walk and Thunderbolts* are much better films. But this film was still really fun and really entertaining.

Now the storyline is really incredible because it focuses on The Iraq War That happened in 2006 and you have this Soldier named Ray Mendoza Who is the leader of the Alpha one which was this group of soldier that fought in the bow of Ramani and they had to team up with the alpha two team Led by Jake and they had to work together to to survive the war and take down Iraq. That is essentially what the story is and this has to be one up there with Death of a unicorn with Paul Rudd and one of the best storylines of 2025 because this really happened in real life. The soldiers did have to fight in this war in 2006.

Now as perfect as the story is for this movie the best thing in this movie is the performances because this has got to be one of the best acted War films of all time I think everyone Gives excellent and terrific performances. I still think the acting in this film is up there with the acting in 1917 from 2019 I was the best acted War films of all time.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is D’Pharaoh Woon A-Tal as Ray Mendoza who gives a really magnificent and probably one of the best performances of 2025 because he put so much heart and emotion into his performance. Now Ray Mendoza as a character is really accurate to how he was in real life because this was the commander of the Alpha One team he really wanted to take down Al Qaeda Of Iraq And serve the US and protect our country. The scenes with Ray Mendoza are incredible whether it is him leading his team into war or him giving his team orders to fight back against Iraq did lead to some really powerful and captivating moments in the film because the stuff oh because the stuff that he did all happened in real life. The chemistry between him and Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, Cosmo Jarvis  is terrific.

Now let's talk about Will Poulter. He is a really terrific actor. He has given some really awesome and entertaining performances like in Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3, Detroit, Death Of A Unicorn. Now in this film I have to say he was probably my favorite performance in this entire film because he plays the character of Erik tremendously. He gives a really emotional and really incredible performance and you can tell that he is having a lot of fun in this film. Now the character of Erik is incredible because he is really accurate to how he was in real life because he did fight in The Iraq War in 2006 and was the leader of his Soldier team to protect the US from the Iranian soldiers. The scenes with Erik are tremendous whether telling his team to look out for other Iraq soldiers or him leading his team on to the battlefield it does lead to some really heart pounding and suspenseful moments in the film because in real life Eric did have to lead his team into battle to fight off the Iraq soldiers. The chemistry between him and D’Pharaoh Woon A-Tal  is incredible.

Cosmo Jarvis plays Elliot in the film and I have to say his performance is probably one of the most entertaining. It was the most emotional performance of the entire film because he probably gives one of the best performances of 2025. Now the character of Elliott is much like the rest of the characters is really accurate to his real-life counterpart because this is a person who did fight in the Iraq War with Erik and Ray who led the war against Iraq. The fiends with Elliot are incredible whether it is him and his team avoid being bombed by the Iraq soldiers when their base gets blown up Or him and his team shooting a bunch of Iraqi soldiers have the US win the war and it did lead to some really scary and some really horrifying moment throughout the film because this all happened in real life the US had to fight Iraq to the death so Iraq went take over the US and turn it into a Dictator country when  the Iraqis take over the country and cause more war. The chemistry between him and D’Pharaoh Woon A-Tal is spectacular.

Now let's talk about Joseph Quinn because he is a tremendous actor because he is giving some really awesome and terrific performances like in Stranger Things, Fantastic 4 First Steps, A Quiet Place Day One. Now with this film I still think he  did a spectacular job as the character of Sam because he probably gives one of the most emotional and the most magnificent performances of the entire film because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Sam is accurate to how he was in real life because he had to fight in the Iraq war with his team to take down the Iranian soldiers to protect the US from being obliterated and you can tell that he really cares about his team and wants them to survive in the war. The scenes with Sam are tremendous Whether it is him trying to help an injured Soldier through the war or him bonding with Erik it does lead to some really emotional and really terrifying moments In the film because in real life soldiers did get injured in the Iraq War and they desperately tried to help their team by preventing them from dying. The chemistry between him and D’Pharaoh Woon A-Tal is brilliant.

Taylor John Smith plays Frank in the film and his performance is probably the most entertaining and probably one of the most captivating performances of the entire film because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun in this film playing this character. Now much like the rest of the characters in this movie Frank is accurate too in real life counterpart because he did fight in the Iraq war trying to protect the US from being killed by the Iraq soldiers and wanting to serve the country and protect the US from being attacked by Iraq. The scenes With Frank are probably some of the most brutal things in this film whether it is him walking through the smoke and trying survive and avoid suffocating to death and trying to get to his team or him begging for his team to help him and it does lead to some really brutal and heart pounding moments because they realize people did die in the Iraq War due to getting shot or stuff getting through play this gas. It is probably one of the most brutal moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and D’Pharaoh Woon A-Tal is fantastic.

However the best thing about this movie is the directing by Ray Mendoza  And Alex Garland Now the most interesting thing is that Alex Garland is  really talented director because he A lot of awesome and entertained films like Ex Machina, Men, Dred 2012,  and Annihilation I have to say they did a terrific job directing the film because why I like about their directing is that a deal a magnificent job of showing the darkness in the downright depressing time of the Iraq war because maybe people died in that war it was really hard for people to survive because the US were trying to fight against iraq And survive and protect our country. I also like how they don't hold back on the violence because in this film you see soldiers suffocating and getting shot. They even get their base blown up by the Iranian soldiers and if some of them are brutal moments to watch, they capture the darkness of war perfectly. I think they did a terrific job directing the film.

So in conclusion I surprisingly  really like this film because the way it depicts the Iraq  war  was super accurate just showing all the brutal candles of soldiers getting hurt and almost dying. I also like how the film did not hold back on its violence by showing the brutal and scary things about war because you see  soldiers game shot at dying of poisonous gas. So this film definitely utilized its R rating perfectly. The best thing about this film are the performances. The two stand out performances in the film are Will Pluter and Joseph Quinn because those two gave the best performances in the film and you can tell that both of them are having a lot of fun in the film. The cinematography in the film is also really terrific to look at how it depicts the location of Iraq of how dirty and grimy it is because it's trying to depict what war was like back then and it does a magnificent job of doing it. This is probably in my top 10 best films of 2025. This is definitely in my top 5 favorite War films of all time. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you like Dunkirk with Cillain Murphy. Then I'm sure you're going to like this one as well. I give this movie a 10/10.

Here Is My Movie Review of The Long Walk

Here Is My Movie Review of The Long Walk

Now when this movie was announced I was beyond excited because just looking at the trailer it looked really interesting. This idea that you have to walk for a long time and if you stop you get shot and killed and the last person who survives to win the prize money. So that was a really unique and amazing concept. But the other thing I was looking forward Two in this movie is to see the Joker himself Mark Hamill Because I really enjoy him as an actor I like him in the original Star Wars Trilogy I like him as Joker in Batman the Animated Series and I also liked him as Chucky in Child's Play 2019. So I went to go see this movie and let me tell you I really like it. Now I really enjoy this film. It's probably one of the most entertaining films of 2025. But I don't think it is as good as other 2025 films that I have seen like Death of a Unicorn or Fantastic Four First Steps. I think those two movies are way better than this film. But in terms of just being a really fun and intense film, it really does deliver on those things.

Now, despite how incredible the storyline is. That is not the thing that makes this movie  tremendous. Don't get me wrong, the storyline is really interesting. But the thing that makes the movie magnificent is actually the performances  because I think every single actor gives it their all and you can tell they're just having a lot of fun.

Now you may think Mark Hamill is the big standout of this movie and I'll talk about him later but here's the thing though he's actually not the big standout of this movie the really big standout of the entire film Is Cooper Hoffman who plays on main character Raymond Garraty Who probably gives one of the most emotional and captivating performances of the entire film. Now the character of Raymond Garraty Is it really tragic and really broken character that you really care about because this is a guy who lost his father and he want to avenge his father's death by killing the major but in order to do that he has to win the lawn walk and not die and I think he had one of the best character arcs of the entire film. The scenes where Raymond Garraty is getting ready for the long walk are really incredible to watch. But my favorite moment is when he finds out that The Major killed his father by shooting him in the head for not being guilty for his crimes. It's probably why the saddest moments of this entire film is because Raymond Garraty begged The Major not to kill him. It is probably one of the heaviest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and David Johnson, Ben Wang, Joshua Odjick, Charlie Palmer, Garrett Wareing, and Mark Hamill is tremendous.

Someone else who was really terrific in this film is David Johnson who plays Raymond's friend Peter McVries because he probably gives one of the most emotional and most beautiful performances as this character. Now out of all the characters Peter McVries Is my favorite in this film because he had the emotional core of the film he really cares about Raymond he really want them to survive the long walk and there is this really beautiful moment where Peter McVries  tells Raymond to let go of the past and keep looking forward and it is one of the most powerful and mesmerizing moments throughout the film because he's trying to encourage Raymond to leave the past behind. But Peter McVries Have some funny moments like the scene where he has to go pee atith peas on all the other Walkers during the competition because it is really funny but it does make logical sense because you can't take a break or else The Major will just fly out kill you by shooting you in the head or having one of the soldiers do it. But it is one of the funniest moments in the film and the bonding between Peter and Raymond is probably the strongest aspect of this entire film. I really like their friendship throughout the whole movie. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman  is outstanding.

Now Ben Wang Probably gave the funniest performance in the film add the character of Hank Olson Because he kind of sounds like Mr Chow from The Hangover like he puts on this New York accent and I think it fits the character because you can just tell that Ben Wang Is having a lot of fun as this character. Now Hank Olson as a character is tremendous and he's probably my favorite character throughout the film because he is so funny and so entertaining to watch and he does really care about his friends. He wants to survive the Long Walk. The scenes with Hank often are tremendous and there are some of my favorite moments throughout the film whether it is him Towing Raymond in the other that if the gum goes he goes or the thing where he's like trying to make up the hell it starts freaking out it does lead to some really nail biting and some really funny moments throughout the film. Also his reaction to watching Peter pee in the middle of The Long Walk was also really funny; he is  disgusted by the whole thing. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman  is remarkable.

Joshua Odjick was also really amazing in the film as the character Collie Parker because you can tell he is having a lot of fun and his performance is probably one of the most tragic and captivating performances of the entire film. Now Collie Parke Are the character you really feel bad for because he really wants to survive the long walk he starts to become more unstable and he can't take being held at gunpoint well he is walking and you just feels so bad for him you really wanted to get this thing done and when the prize money. The scene where he tries to attack one of the soldiers and put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger is probably one of the most heart pounding moments in the entire film because he couldn't take being tortured by the major so he wanted to put himself out of his own nitrate by shooting himself in the face and it's probably one of the scariest moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman is excellent.

Charlie Palmer Plays Gary Barkovich In the film and his performance is really incredible and really entertaining because you can tell that Charlie Palmer is having a lot of fun in this film. Now the character of Gary Barkovich Is really interesting because at first he doesn't like Raymond and Peter  makes fun of them and their friends but later on in the film you start to have a change of heart and he admits that doing the long walk is torture and he walked to survive with his new friends. The scene where Gary Barkovich  And his friends say fuck The Long walk and fuck The Major not only is it really funny. But you can tell that they kind of had enough of being tortured by The Major. They don't want to do this horrible event anymore because they say it's borderline abusive and it is torturing them why they call out The Major for his disgusting and horrible behavior. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman is magnificent.

Garrett Wareing plays Billy Stebbins. In the film,  his  performance is really entertaining because you can tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Billy Stebbins is really interesting because he really wants to survive the long walk with his friends and wants to win the prize money but then you find out that he is one of the Major's Sons. But he doesn't want to do anymore; he doesn't want to get the event over with. But the scene where he reveals that he had the majors son is probably one of a shocking moments of the entire film because when your first introduce to him in the film he's just an average guy because you don't believe that he and the major Unrelated but once he tells his friends in the third act it is probably  the most shocking moment of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman is terrific.

Now the thing that I was the most looking forward to in this entire film is Mark Hamill as The Major and I have to say he does a magnificent job in fact he probably get one of the most creepiest but one of the most entertaining performances of the entire film because you can tell that Mark Hamill is having the time of his life playing this character. Now To say that The Major is probably the most statistic character in the entire film that's play it lightly because The Major is a really disturbing scary individual because this guy enjoy the torturing the contestants because he is so into doing his job is that he doesn't care that someone gets a seizure in the middle of the race he just straight up gets his soldiers to kill the person and when he raises his voice in the film it's actually really scary but it's understandable because he's giving orders to the contestants to keep going because he gives you a 3 warnings and if you don't listen to him you die. On the bright side you can make this joke: The Joker is running the long walk event and shooting your brains out because he's played by the same actor who is Mark Hamill. The scenes with the Major are really incredible and really brutal to watch. Whether it is the scene of him explaining the rules of the Long Walk or him sending his military soldiers out to kill the contestants it does lead to some really scary and some really chilling moments throughout the film. Now The Major does  have some Darkly comedic moments in the film like the scene where Raymond and his friends are like cutting him out saying he is a piece of shit and The Major  like that's the spirit like he doesn't care if anyone cusses him out because he enjoys ruining people's lives in this event. I think The Major is up there with Red Hulk from Captain America Brave New World as the most entertaining villains of 2025. The chemistry between him and Cooper Hoffman is incredible.

However the best thing about this movie is the directing by Francis Lawrence because what I love about his director that he does a terrific job adapting the short story because the exact same thing happens you have all these People participating in this thing called the law walk where you have to walk the whole time and if you stop or take a break you get shot and killed and he really nailed Intense and Horrifying aspects of that book really well. Buy all the like how he made this film and analogy for the Vietnam War because the Vietnam War was the very dark time in history lots of soldiers got shot multiple times and got killed and some soldiers develop PTSD because they either lost Their best friend or one of their family members has died in the war and can scar them really badly So I am super happy that he took that very seriously. Something else I really liked and that can develop all the characters especially Raymond and Peter because these two characters had been through a lot. You know Raymond has lost his father because The Major killed him and Peter lost his parents when he was little when his father was killed by the government. So I think that is really terrific of how he developed the characters in this film.  So overall I think he did a magnificent job of directing the film.

So in conclusion I really enjoy this film because the storyline was really incredible having all these contestants participate in the long walk of this deadly event that means that you walk or you die which means if you don't walk you die but if you walk you'll be okay. I think the storyline of this movie is up there with Mickey 17 with Mark Ruffalo as one of the best storylines of 2025. But the best thing about the film are the performances. I think everyone gave some of the best performances of this entire year especially from Cooper Hoffman and David Johnson who both steal the entire movie as Raymond and Peter. Both of them have wonderful chemistry with one another. Also  Mark Hamill also gives a tremendous and fun performance as The Major because you can just tell that this is a character that Mark Hamill is having a lot of fun playing in the film.  Now The Major is up there with Red Hulk From Captain America Brave New World as one of the best villains of 2025. Also The Major is probably up there with The High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 as one of the most entertaining but yet one of the most despicable villains of the 2020s. I think this film is up there with Love Hurts as one the most entertaining films of 2025. I also like how this film does not hold back on its violence because you see someone get killed in the film. You really feel scared for the other characters and you want them to survive this event. Also the film utilized its R rating perfectly because this film is violent and disturbing. I highly recommend you go see this movie theater especially if you are a huge Mark Hamill fan or if you like Stephen King movies like 1922 or The Shining with Jack Nicholson you will not be disappointed. I give this movie a 10/10.
