Why do I think MCU Phase 5 has weaker villains than phase 4

 

Why do I think MCU Phase 5 has weaker villains than phase 4

Now this is very interesting because both Phase 4 and 4 of the MCU have some great villains and some really terrible villains. But to be perfectly honest I do think phase 5 is not as bad as phase 2 In terms of having really bad MCU villains but at the same time it doesn't hold a candle to Phase 4 in terms of giving us some awesome and emotional and entertaining villains. 

Now Phase 5 started off with Ant-Man the Wasp Quantum Mania and we had our next big villain that being King the Conqueror and he were very threatening a very entertaining villain Now we did have a variant of him in Loki season 1 that being he who remains and that one was a really Entertaining and interesting villain and they were both played by Jonathan Majors and he did a tremendous job as both of them. But he wasn't the only villain we had in the movie. We also had a villain named Lord Kyler. Now Lord Krylr was revealed to be Janet Van Dyne's ex-boyfriend and they broke up and then she decided to join Kang Empire to destroy them but he eventually gets eaten by one of the creatures in the quantum realm and he is presumed dead . He was played by Bill Murray. He did a great job. He is probably the weakest villain in the film but he's still good. And the last villain we have in the film is M.O.D.O.K. Now M.O.D.O.K is revealed to be Darren Cross from the first Ant-Man movie Now Ant Man thanks he died during the first battle against each other until Darren cross tells him that he would rebuild by Kang The conqueror into the mechanized organism designed only for killing. Corey Stoll did come back to voice the character and he is probably the most entertaining part of the film and out of the villains in the movie he had the only one to redeem himself because Cassie tell them not to be a dick and he turned against his  master Kang but unfortunately he overpowered and killed him in the process and then and he dies he becomes an ordinary Avenger. 

Now Phase’s very first movie was Black Widow and it did not have the best villains. Now General  Dreykov Is a decent villain because you understand why he wants to recruit women into the black Widow program to turn them into these highway skilled mercenaries and assassins. He was played by Ray Winston and he did a fairly great job as his character out of the two actors who played the villains he gave the best performance. Now the main villain was Taskmaster and was awful. She was just a very bland and one-dimensional villain that Was revealed to be the daughter of General Drakov known as Antonia Dreykov. Now she is played by Olga Kuylenko and she gave the worst performance in the film. It felt like she was sleepwalking throughout Her performance. 

Now phase 5's next MCU project is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. Now in this film The villain is The High Evolutionary And he was tremendous because he had a really Awesome motivation is that he wanted to experiment on animals so she could create and hand the words the perfect society and he would the one that was responsible for doing experiments on rocket raccoon and was also responsible for the death of Rocket Raccoon's girlfriend Lilay. Also as a villain you just love to hate he's one of the most despicable and one of the most evil villains in faith 5 and probably in all of MCU. He's played spectacularly by Chukwudi Iwuji and he did an extraordinary job as the character. 

Now Phase 4’s MCU project was Shang Chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings. Now in this movie you have three villains. Now the first villain you have is a death dealer and he Basically served as Xu Wenwu’s Henchmen who is one of his assassins who has sent to Recruit his son Shang Chi To help him find his deceased wife. I have to say he was a really cool villain even though he doesn't talk but I think that's what makes him so creepy because he is a silent assassin who doesn't speak any words whatsoever. He is played by Andy Lee and he does a spectacular job as the character. Next up is Razor Fist now he serves much like  Death Dealer. He is  Xu Wenwu’s right hand man / assassin who is tasked to Find Shang Chi and kill him. Now he is played by Florian Munteanu And he was fantastic in the role. Now for the main knowledge of the film XU Wenwu Now he is a really tragic and very interesting one because his motivation is that he hears the voice of his deceased wife and tell his son Shang Chi that she's leaving close for them to find a finder so they can be a family again. You can also understand that he hates his son because in his own  words "You were there when they came for her and  you did nothing.” You stood at a window and watched her die. So he decides to take revenge on the iron gang By beating them to death in the bar to take vengeance on them for the death of his beloved wife. He is probably the most tragic villain of Phase 4. He is played wonderfully by Tony Leung. 

Phase 5's next MCU project is the Marvels. Now the villain in this film is Dar-Benn and well she's not the worst faith five villain. She is probably the worst in terms of the MCU phase five films because this villain has a decent motivation and she wants to bring the light back to her Planet Hala. But the prominent one is that she's just a female version of Ronan The Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy and  that doesn't come off very threatening. It's just very flat and underwhelming. The other as I mentioned before her motivation is good but aside from that she has nothing going and nothing interesting about her. Even though she is a little bit better than the villain in the first Captain Marvel film, that's not really saying much because she's still bland. She is played by Zawe Ashton And she does a great job with her performance. You can tell that she is having fun in the role. 

Now Phase 4's next MCU project was Eternals. Now in this film you have three villains in this whole movie. Now, the first of them you have is Kro and I have to say out of all the villains in the film he has the worst one. He is just your generic alien space conqueror and that's it there's nothing else that I can mention about him that is all he is. He's voiced by Bill Skarsgard but he probably gives the worst performance in faith for he's just so monotone so bland and just so flat in the role. Now the Overarching villain of the film is Arishem The Judge. Now his motivation is that he wants to keep the universe in balance so he tasked the eternals to not interfere but they do anyway so he banishes Cersei at the end of the film for not taking full responsibility for her team's actions. He is voiced by David Kyle and he still does a terrific job at the character. Now let's talk about the main villain of the film Ikaris. Now at first Icarus doesn't seem like the villain he is on the eternal the side he's on the team he wants to defend the universe but as the film goes on he starts to not trust his team particularly Ajak because she  doesn't want them to interfere so out of rage Icarus kills her and Sprite decide to join Icarus because she loves him and Ikaris is revealed to be the true villain of the film the entire time. He is probably up there with Xu Weneu from Shang Chi and The legend of the 10 rings as one of them was tragic villains of faith for because he really wants to complete his mission but he realizes he feels guilty for all the bad things he has done so he decides to end his own life by flying two quotes to the son and that event we kill him. He's played tremendously by Richard Madden. 

Now Phase 4's next MCU project was Spider-Man no way home. Now this film had a lot of villains but I'm primarily going to mention one villain and that is Norman Osborne/The Green Goblin Now in this film Norman Osborne has mysteriously traveled throughout the multiverse and he is now in the MCU  and he is trying to get away from his goblin persona but on the film go on he starts to go crazy and eventually his green goblin side takes over and he kills Pam Parker Aunt May and  he breaks Spider-Man and lead them on a path of vengeance. Now Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin Is probably one of the best villains in Phase 4 because he actually  Spider-Man  want to kill him and when Spider-Man said I don't care I just want to kill you myself and Green Goblin says that a boy which implied that he following his orders to turn him into a killer. Also much like in the 2002 Spider-Man movie he is played awesomely by William Dafoe. 

Now Phase 4 is the next MCU project is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Now the main villain in this film is Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch Now her motivation is that she wants to acquire the multiverse jumping powers of America Chavez Which would eventually kill America Chavez in the process and the whole rate of why she wants to do this so she can go into so she can be with her children who she thinks that they are real But they are just children she made up in her own world. Now Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch is The scariest villain because she would do anything in our power to be with her children which goes as far as killing every member of the Illuminati. She is played tremendously and spectacularly by Elizabeth Olsen. 

Now Phase 4’s Next MCU project was Thor love and thunder. Now the villain in this film is Gorr the god Butcher and he wants to use storm breaker to open a portal so he can see eternity and make a wish so he can kill all the gods. Now Gorr The God Butcher is a character you feel really bad for much like Xu Wenwu because he lost his daughter and in order to reviver Thor tell him to wish her back to life and he does But unfortunately that cost him his life. he is played Awesomely by Christian Bale And he does a remarkable job as the character. 

Now  Phase 4’s  final MCU project was Black Panther Wakanda Forever. Now, much like Eternals, you get three villains in this film. Now the first villain you get is Attuma. And here they are really marvelous knowing because he is basically Namor’s Henchmen who wants to help him and his people protect their Kingdom from being destroyed by the government and the people who live in Wakanda. He is voiced by Alex Livinalli And he does a spectacular job as the character. Now the next villain you get is Namor's Sister named Nama.  Now herma message you want to help her brother protect their kingdom from being invaded by By the Surface dwellers who attacked their home. She is played by Marble Cadena and she did a terrific job as the character. Finally there is Namor The submariner now he is the roar of his kingdom known as Talokanil From being invaded by the surface two hours and you feel bad for him because much like XU Wenwu Shang Chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings  he lost something he loved That being his mother which he had to watch her be be in the death by the by the humans and get to watch her die in front of him. He is played remarkably by Tenoch Huerta.

 Now Phase 5’s next MCU project was Denny plus Marvel Secret invasion. In it by doubt have the worst villain in all of Phase 5 and that is Gravik. Gravik Eduardo was boring bland and predictable villains because right from the start you see him in the vapors episode and you're just thinking yeah he is going to be the villain anything he and yes he is he is the villain he's about to be the Super Skrull” and had one of the vision is just so cliche he wants to invade Earth like we haven't seen that done in a million movie or TV shows It just gets kind of old now Now take away you can do it in a good way like they have done it with Thanos in the Infinity Saga. But here's just lazy and recycled motivation. He is voiced by Kingsley Ben-Adir And he is by far the worst performance in all of the MCU. He is so cringe worthy to watch up there Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor as one of the worst villain performances in any superhero movie or TV show. 

So in conclusion this was a lot of fun to do. It was really interesting to discuss which phase had the best villains and to be honest the winner so far is phase four because it had a lot more villains. Well this Phase  has a few decent villains but to be honest I think the first four for the most part had the best villains. Well this Phase had a mixture of terrific  villains and bad villains. Now the best villain of phase 4 with Wanda Maximoff / The Scarlett Which and the worst phase 4 Kro from the Eternals. Now the best villain in Phase 5 was The High Evolutionary from Guardians the Galaxy Vol 3. The worst phase 5 villain is Gravik from from Secret Invasion.
