Here is My Movie Review of The House With A Clock In Its Walls

Here is My Movie Review of The House With A Clock In Its Walls

So basically what happens is that you have this boy named Lewis Barnavelt who recently lost his mother so he has to live with his Uncle Jonathan Barnavelt  who is a warlock and he tells Lewis that there is a door in the house that he is a not allowed to open because what's inside causes really bad stuff to happen and he has to learn how to be a warlock by this woman named Florence Zinnamon who is this witch who wants to teach Lewis how to become a really great sorcerer. But Lewis and Tarby accidentally open the cupboard that has Uncle Jonathan told him not to touch and he reads the book and the accidentally  brings back Isaac Izard who is this evil sorcerer and along with his wife Selena Izard and they want to turn back time and make everyone young so no one will be born and they can rule the world it's up to Lewis and his uncle Jonathan and Florence cinnamon to take down Isaac and his wife and save the world. That is basically what the story is for the film. Now the storyline in this movie is based on the book of the same name and the movie follows the book perfectly because the exact same thing happens. Lewis has to live with his uncle and learn how to be a warlock and take down Isaac and his wife Selena and become the greatest sorcerer of all time.

Now the acting in this movie is tremendous because all the actors are giving really powerful and Incredible performances, because one of the actors is actually an Oscar winning actress herself. I think this film is up there with the acting in Ready Player One as one of the best acted films of 2018.

However the absolute big standout of the entire film is Owen Vaccaro who gives one of the most powerful and captivating performances in the film as Lewis Barnavelt because when the film wanted him to express emotions he did a really terrific job of doing that whether  him being scared or really sad or being happy He does it really splendid job of doing that. Now the character of  Lewis Barnavelt  Is really accurate to his book counterpart because he lost his mother is orphan he has to live with his uncle Jonathan Barnavelt who has to teach him how to be a terrific sorcerer in order to take down Isaac Izard and his wife in order to save the world and become a warlock just like his uncle. I have to say out of all the characters in this film Lewis Barnavelt Is probably my favorite character in the entire film because of the really incredible and interesting character ark he goes through in the film. The scene where Lewis Barnavelt and his Uncle Jonathan and Florence Zinnamon  Are battling against Isaac Izard And his wife Selena Izard  Not only is it a really intense and nail biting moment in the film but it makes sense because in the book the same thing happens where Lewis Barnavelt and his uncle Jonathan and Florence Zimmerman had battle Isaac Izard and his wife Selena Izard and prevent them from taking over the world and killing people. It is probably one of the most entertaining and magnificent moments in the film. The chemistry between him and Jack Black, Cate Blanchette, Kyle MacLarchlan, Renne Elies Goldberry, Sunny Suljic Is remarkable.

Jack Black plays Lewis's uncle Jonathan Barnavelt  in the film and he does a stellar job as a character because he puts so much heart and emotion into this character. Now the character of  Jonathan Barnavelt  is just like his counterpart from the book because in the book he is Lewis's uncle who care about him and will do anything to protect him and   help him become a sorcerer and wants to take down Isaac Izard and his wife Selena Izard and save the world. The scene where Jonathan Barnavelt Tells Lewis to not open the cupboard and when he finds out he gets really mad at Lewis for doing that and not only are they really suspenseful and Powerful but it makes sense because Jonathan Barnavelt told Louis Pacifically never to open that cupboard door because it had a book that contained a bunch of dark and evil magic and the way to resurrect Isaac Izard and his wife Selena Izard. It is probably one of the most nail biting moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Owen Vaccaro Is remarkable.

Cate Blanchett plays Florence Zinnamon  In the film. Now out of all the performances she is probably my favorite performance of the entire film because he goes such a captivating and entertaining performance and this is probably my favorite performance from Cate Blanchette outside of the MCU. Now the character of Florence Zinnamon is really accurate to how she was depicted in the book because in the book she is a really powerful sorceress who wants to help Jonathan Barnavelt and Lewis Barnavelt  take down Isaac Izard and his wife Selena Izard and save the world. Not to mention Florence Zimmerman´s backstory is really dark and really incredible because she had a battle an evil spirit and she lost her powers because the evil spirit overpowered her and that's why she can't really perform magic the way she used to So you can understand why she does it before magic that much anymore ever since the day that evil spirit stole her powers. The scene where Florence Zimmerman Explains to Lewis about Isaac Izard’s backstory  Not only is it disturbing and really creepy but it makes sense because she mentions how Isaac Ethered Gruda power and became one of the most evil sorcerer in the world and it also foreshadows his arrival later on in the film. It is probably one of the most powerful and one of the most important moments of the entire film. The chemistry between her and Owen Vaccaro  is fantastic.

Sunny Suljic plays Tarby Corrigan In the film. I have to say he still does a glorious job as the character. Now the character of Tarby Corrigan Is really accurate to his book Town part because in the book he is selfish and really arrogant and Manipulates Lewis Barnavelt  To raise the dead and show him real magic. The scene where he and Lewis Barnavelt  Resurrect Isaac Izard Is probably one of the creepiest moments and the most disturbing moments of the entire film because it foreshadows the events of Isaac's arrival. It is probably one of the most haunting moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Owen Vaccaro Is exquisite.

Renne Elies Goldberry plays Selena Izard In the film and her performance is probably one of the most previous but really entertaining performances of the entire film because you can just tell that she is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Selena Izard Is really accurate to her book counterpart because like in the book she teams up with our husband Isaac Izard To kill everyone on Earth so they can rule the world and become one of the most powerful sorcerers in the universe. The scene where Selena Izard Manipulates Lewis by pretending to be his mom is probably one of the most disturbing moments in the entire film because at first you really think it is his mother but then you find out in the third act of it wasn't really her it was just Selena Izard In disguise the whole time is one of the most shocking twist in the film Because it's a birth your expectations by saying that Lewis and his mother were together the whole time during the dream sequences but in reality she was not. The Rivalry between her and Lewis is tremendous because when she reveals herself to Lewis it is really pretty and really disturbing. The chemistry between her and Owen Vaccaro Is remarkable.

Kyle MacLarchlan plays Isaac Izard In the film and his performance might be one of the terrifying and one of the most disturbing performances of the entire film because he does such a glorious job of being really horrifying and really creepy as this character you going to tell that he is having a lot of fun as this character. Now the character of Isaac Izard  Is accurate to his book counterpart because in the book hear this evil sorcerer who wants to kill everyone so he and his wife can rule the world and in the movie the same thing happened Isaac wants to harness all the magic in the world so he and his wife Kill everyone so they can rule the world together. Also his backstory is really disturbing and really interesting because Isaac Izard lived in World War II he started to have PTSD but then he found this house and he met Jonathan and a first he enjoyed him at a friend but as time went on he started to hate him and he was obsessed with dark magic and wanted to use the clock to turn back time and tell everyone so he is wife are the only ones alive. The scene where Isaac Izard Walks Into the house and grades Lewis is not only really creepy but it makes sense because he wants to find the clock and harnesses so he and his wife can rule the world and it's probably one of the creepiest villain introduction scenes of 2018 Because it shows how far Isaac will go to get what he wants that being harness  Black Magic and roll in the world with him and his wife being the only ones on Earth. The Rivalry between him and Lewis is tremendous because it just shows how far Isaac will go even if it means  killing a 10-year-old kid to get what he wants, that's how far he'll go to complete his mission. The chemistry between him and Owen Vaccaro is terrific.

Now let's talk about Eli Roth who directed the film and to be completely honest i am not the biggest fan of this director because  I thought Thanksgiving from 2023 was way too bloody and really uncomfortable to watch because I know this director is known for blood and gore but I'm just not the biggest fan of Thanksgiving It was just way too buddy and way nauseating to sit through because the blood in that movie that's made me feel really  uncomfortable because I don't mind Gore in a film Like Renfield, Love hurts with Ke Huy Quan because those films don't over do it and don't make you want to throw up.But when you do it way too much it goes from being interesting to being really grossed and really uncomfortable. But I have to say his directing in this movie is tremendous because he actually got the book right because it had the same storyline about Lewis visiting his Uncle Jonathan learning how to use magic and he has to take down Isaac and his wife to save the world and prevent everyone from being killed on Earth by Black Magic. He also gets all the characters right because Lewis is 10 years old. He wants to learn how to be a warlock just like his uncle, he wants to take down Isaac and save the world. Also Jonathan much like in the book in The Thor he wants to train his nephew to become a sorcerer so they can take down Isaac Izard and protect the world from Evil Supernatural beings. So overall I think he did a glorious job directing the film.

So in conclusion I still really like this movie because the storyline revolved around Lewis learning how to be a sorcerer and taking down Isaac and his wife and learning the art of magic  like his uncle Jonathan. It is accurate to the book because the exact same thing happens. Lewis has to protect the house from Supernatural creatures and prevent black magic from spreading throughout the universe. The performances are really fun. The two stand out performances are Owen Vaccaro and Cate Blanchett because both of them are really entertaining in the film and both of them play off each other magnificently. I still think Isaac Izard is up there with Nolan Sorrento From Ready Player One as one of the best villains of 2018. I still think Selena Izard Is up there with Hela from Thor Ragnarok As one of the best villains of the 2010s. I still think this film is up there with Ant-Man and the Wasp with Paul Rudd as one of the best films of 2018. I highly recommend you watch this film especially if you enjoy really fun and entertaining films like Love Hurts with Ke Huy Quan. Then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. I give this movie a 10/10.

Here is My Movie Review of A Million Little Pieces

Here is My Movie Review of A Million Little Pieces

So basically what happens is that it tells the real life story of James Frey Who was this brilliant writer who has suffered through drug addiction he is suffering through depression and he is sent to rehab to try to get over his drug addiction and try to turn his life around  along the way He meets this guy named Leonard  and they do form a friendship it's up to James Frey  To get over his drug addiction and tried to turn his life around and that's basically what the story is for the film. I have to say the storyline is really incredible because that really did happen. James Frey What's the famous writer who suffered through drug addiction and depression So he had to go to rehab to solve his problems.

The acting in this film is stellar because All these actors are giving fantastic and captivating performances because they're essentially playing real life people in this film. I think this film is up there with The Lighthouse as one of the best acted films of 2019.

But the actor that makes this movie brilliant is Aaron Taylor Johnson who gives one of the most powerful and emotional heartbreaking performances of 2019 as this character of Jason Frey because he gives such a raw and remarkable performance in the entire film. Now Jason Frey is probably one of the most accurate characters of 2019 because he is just like his real-life counterpart because in real life Jason Frey was this very successful writer His suffered through depression and drug addiction he felt like there was nothing good about living so he had to be sent to a rehab center to fix himself and get over his drug addiction. The scene where Jason Frey Is in his room is lighting a cigarette and not only is a really sad and depressing moment but it makes sense because he is smoking because he is so down on luck any of worried that he will never get over his addiction of drugs so you can understand why he Smoke in this film because of how depressed and Unhappy hands and this is really accurateTill people in real life there are some people who Suffer through drug addiction because they are unhappy with themselves. It is probably one of the most heartbreaking but really accurate moments in the film because it shows that anyone can suffer through depression.

Someone else I  really like to talk about is Billy Bob Thornton in the film because this guy is a tremendous actor. He has shown that he is very versatile because you could be funny like he is Bad Santa. He can also be really entertaining like in Puss In Boots. But I have to say he gives one of the most emotional and really beautiful performances as the character of Leonard because Leonard as character is really incredible how he wants to help James Frey Try to get over his drug addiction and depression and the bonding between him and James Frey Is the strongest aspect of the entire film. The scene where Leonard tells James Frey it meant that he is scared of being in rehab is not only a really powerful and tragic moment but it makes sense because James Frey is not happy with the idea of him trying to get over his drug addiction. It is probably one of the saddest moments of the entire film. Also I do think he and Aaron Taylor Johnson play off each other perfectly. They have such magnificent chemistry.

Charlie Hunnam Plays Bob Frey Jr. In the film, he gives a really remarkable and entertaining performance. Now the character of Bob Frey Jr. Is incredible because he wants to help his dad get over his drug addiction by sending him to rehab and trying to get him out of his depression. The scene where Bob Frey Jr tells his dad To give rehab a chance and not only are they really strong moments but it makes sense because he wants his dad to get over his drug addiction and get out of his depression and find happiness. It is probably one the most emotional and one of the most beautiful moments of the entire film. The chemistry between him and Aaron Taylor Johnson is tremendous. I do think they have Amanda chemistry with one another.

Now David Dastmalchian Is a tremendous actor I like him in the Ant-Man films I like him in The Suicide Squad movie. I even like to small role in Oppenheimer Now he doesn't play a huge role in the film but the lucky had he does a glorious job playing Roy you can tell that he is having the time of his life playing this character and I  will say that this is probably his most underrated performance other than entire career and one of the most underrated acting performances of 2019. Now the character of Roy Is really interesting because he's a century in charge of the rehab center making sure that everyone follows the rules there though all of them can get help and solve their problems. The scene where Roy tells Jason Frey about the rehab center and how it works and not only are they really interesting character introduction scenes. But it is accurate in real life because we just sent a rehab. They tell you all about it and how it works and hi it's about to navigate throughout the entire thing. It is probably one of the bestAnd one of entertainment throughout the entire film. Also Him and Aaron Taylor Johnson play off each other brilliantly they have spectacular chemistry throughout the entire movie. To be honest I can see them working together again in another movie. That's how great and how fun  their chemistry was in the film.

However the best thing about this entire movie in the directing by Aaron Taylor Johnson's wife Sam Taylor Johnson Because what I like about her directed that's in the job of tackling the subject of drug addiction and depression because in real life there are people who suffer through addiction problems and need to go to rehab in order to get their lives back on track and try to get over their drug addiction and get over their depression. I also like how she takes it really seriously because drug addiction can be veryDepressing and a really hard topic to discuss, especially when the person is sensitive about talking about it. It could be really hard for them to open up about their problems. I think it is really tremendous of how she did that.

So in conclusion I still really love this movie because of how accurate it really is, the themes about addiction and the person it is based off of that being Jason Frey because in real life he was this brilliant writer who suffered through drug addiction and had to go to rehab to essentially cure himself of his problems. Although all the performances are really tremendous, the two that stand out to me are Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton. These two are really fun to watch in the film and you can tell they had magnificent chemistry with one another. Also to be honest I don't think this movie is as horrible as a lot of people say it is because to be honest there are far worst films in 2019 like Rim of The World And Polar or even more unwatchable than this film because with this film it does have awesome performances and at least it is watchable. I'm going to say this this film is up there with IO with Anthony Mackie add one of the most underrated films of 2019. In fact it is in my top 10 favorite films of 2019. I highly recommend you give this movie a chance before calling it one of the worst movies of 2019. I have to say if you enjoy really powerful and really emotional films like After Yang with Colin Farrell. Then I'm sure you're going to like this film as well. I give this movie a 10/10.
